Lots of poor reviews. Do not allow that to deter you from the All Ritmo if you're a family that needs a vacation. Me, the Wife and two young kids are still here a week or more later having a blast.. get a room upgrade to the front nearest to beach. Tons of great food at the buffet . I honest… more

Lots of poor reviews. Do not allow that to deter you from the All Ritmo if you're a family that needs a vacation. Me, the Wife and two young kids are still here a week or more later having a blast.. get a room upgrade to the front nearest to beach. Tons of great food at the buffet . I honestly don't understand the poor reviews here. Food, service, beach, waterpark. All good. ALL GOOD! I will note tho the place is nowhere near capacity, which is a great bonus as visitor.

“Budget hotel in need of refurbishment. Suggest to pay more for a better hotel”

We stayed at this hotel between 31st May and 10th April this year and booked two rooms. The hotel looks great in the photos but once there you notice the true condition of the building. The rooms were very basic and the bathroom I have to give 1 star as the bath tub looked horrible and should have been replaced. The shows, water park and the food were good but everything else needs serious upgrade. The staff were amazing and I can definitely give 5 star. I was bit disappointed when we went to checkout where they removed our all inclusive wrist band which in every all inclusive holiday I've been to we kept until we left the hotel. I would suggest if going to Cancun try to pay a bit extra and go for hotels which have at least 4 star.

This is an honest review from UK Traveller Firstly - you are way out from the Hotel Zone. There are a few little stores and a few bars / restaurants within walking distance (30 + degrees most of the time) otherwise there are those little buses (packed in like sardines, no A/C) local taxis (ask for price then go to walk away, they will come back with a better offer!). Or use Uber like we did - not expensive, not long wait times, most of the drivers spoke English if you want to get to downtime Cancun. The Hotel has obviously seen better days, although I believe they are in an upgrade programme currently, on arrival we were immediately asked if we wanted to upgrade for sea view room at $50 per room per night - we declined. Our rooms were basic - but they were spotless, the huge bed was unfortunately very hard as were the pillows, I didn’t get one decent night sleep out of 2 weeks. The A/C worked perfectly but was very noisy. We had a fridge which had seen better days but it worked so no issue. The bathroom needs a re-dec, but everything worked and once you got the hang of the 3 taps, the shower gave a decent pressure. We had 2 bottles of water daily - apart from 2 days so enough to last us. They also replenished the Shampoo and bars of soap as you needed them. The room was made up daily and the cleaners obviously take a lot pride in their work. We asked for 2 chairs for our balcony and they arrived within 15 minutes of asking. In no way was the hotel full - so there wasn’t really any wait at the buffet, I’m not sure how you eat there when the hotel is full though, the dinning hall only holds 70 odd people. The food was OK - not very hot, virtually the same things everyday. Omelette station in the morning, taco’s at lunch etc, snack bar moved into Buffett during our 2nd week. Same desserts (Cakes) or cold rice pudding. Staff were friendly and efficient. We did probably eat out more than we were intending to do - so factor in some extra money if you are A.I. We were also told we could not take food outside restaurant - but saw many Mexican families doing so, so prehaps it’s not allowed for the international customers?. The Bar staff were mainly very friendly and did a great job. A couple of the younger members of staff were not so friendly and would serve locals first before us, but maybe that was just a language thing. Marco and more regular bar staff were very good indeed. Did not use the upstairs bar much as it was very hot in there, so it was mainly the pool bar we used which shut at 11 every night. Saw one show in the theatre - but no bar in there. We were the only English in the hotel in our second week - not a problem for us, there were quite a few Canadians, but the majority of guests are locals, again not a problem for us. Many were polite and friendly and generally appreciated my pigeoned Spanish!. The entertainment team led by Alex are the stars of the hotel in my opinion, they are a credit to the hotel and deserved a positive mention. My opinion only, but all in all I think so of the reviews are unfair - if I only went to places on reviews I would not have stayed at the All Ritmo, but on balance I think the hotel has more positives than negatives. If you want 5 star and more action - stay somewhere else in the Hotel Zone, but on balance I’d stay here again.
