Our time at Villa Esmeralda was amazing. This is the place for families of all ages to experience a stress free vacation. At arrival we were met by the entire staff welcoming us to our villa getaway. As mentioned by some previous reviews, the pictures cannot do it justice. Beautiful property, amazing staff, and so relaxing. Our butler Joel reached out in advance to introduce himself and coordinate everything from transportation, to meal and drink options. Our Bartender/Waiter, Edwin made sure everyone had drinks not only at mealtime but throughout the day. He even made our grandkids feel special with virgin daiquiris. A must try is his special 'green juice' that invigorates and energizes you all day. Our Executive Chef, Karlos, is an experienced Michelin star who prepared our incredible meals fresh everyday with his sous-chef Eliver. The Mexican lunches and dinners we experienced were all 5 star. He prepared the best ribs I've ever tasted. The Brazilian BBQ was one of my personal favorites. Italian night was a treasure trove of assorted pasta extraordinaire. The chef can accommodate virtually any food request. Gaby from housekeeping literally cleaned the villa from top to bottom every day and restocked towels and amenities as needed. Mari working the pool area made sure towels were always available for everyone and the pool area clean and spotless. The dedicated security team, Javier, Rolando, and Damian made were safe and secure, even having to intercept a few curious beach tourists. The property requires daily maintenance to keep it at the very highest standard. A shout out to Eddi, Polo, Wilfrido and Esezequial for their hard work. A few days into our vacation we received a visit from Brenda, the assistant GM for the property who introduced herself and wanted to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. It's a great sign for the Margaritaville brand on demonstrating how important the guest experience is. Very much appreciated. There are some unique features on this property you won't find on other villa resorts. For example; Private Spa, Private Gym, Private Tennis Court, Beachfront conference room/business center, Private playroom and playgrounds for kids... and we used ALL of them. In particular the Spa was amazing as we took full advantage of the many services. A couple of our favorite therapists include Norma, and Diana. The family used the private tennis court almost every night. It has a full lighting system so there's no limit on when you can play or exercise. We also arranged for private yoga. Our instructor, Landi, was the best! Her sessions were so relaxing and calming. It was surreal to be doing yoga near the beach, with the sun shinning, the birds flying overhead, palm trees swaying in the wind, waves crashing on the shore and the typical yoga music playing in the background. A little piece of heaven. During our stay one of our guests needed medical attention. The second that Joel was notified, he arranged an onsite doctor who arrived within 15 minutes. He even came with a variety of prescription meds that helped immediately. So grateful for this fabulous service. The overall experience was so amazing that the family is already talking about a return visit. We were so spoiled it's hard to find a similar option elsewhere. A big thank you to Joel and his amazing staff for the experience of a lifetime.
