We look forward to the bar experience in the lobby bar with Ramses. He is absolutely entertaining while professional and is excellent at hos craft! Much of the reason we continue to vacation at this Hilton resort. It makes a huge difference in our enjoyment.

“Great Vacation with Only One Issue”

My family (two in their 20s, spouse and myself) enjoyed our 6 night vacation at Hilton Mar Caribe in Cancun. The resort is beautiful with plenty of spaces to enjoy the beach, pools, spas, bars, etc. We upgraded our two rooms to Enclave and felt the extra cost was worth it. With that we got ocean front rooms- one with a balcony with seating and the other room with a Juliet balcony. Our two rooms were next door to each other but not connecting, which still worked out great. Our housekeeper did a great job cleaning the rooms each day, restocking towels and even did turn down service at night. We tipped for both rooms each day and did a larger tip on the last day. The bar staff and wait staff work hard and asked us often if we wanted anything. Very friendly and it seemed like they really enjoyed their job. On one of the days their manager had a birthday and they all gathered by the pool, sang to him, cheered for him with noise-makers and then they even lifted him up and dropped him in the pool. He was a very good sport. You could tell the staff had a good friendly attitude towards each other. The food was good and plentiful- for the most part. The only issue was one of the days we ordered room service for breakfast around 9am. We were told it would be 50-60 minutes for delivery. At 10:30 it still did not arrive. We called and they said they were heading to the room with the food now. At 11:15, the food still hadn’t arrived so we called and cancelled the order. 3 of our family members had to leave for their jet-ski excursion pickup, and had not gotten a chance to eat beforehand since the room service never arrived. I stayed behind and went on a search for food throughout the resort. Unfortunately there is no food service from 11-1 pm anywhere. I checked the Enclave lounge- no buffet or snacks were out. I checked the coffee shop- no food was available. The restaurants were closed until 12:30 but even at that time Sea Salt wasn’t near ready to open. Despite the Hilton app saying the Chala bar had food service from 12-5, when I arrived the employee told me they don’t open till 1. So I went downstairs to SeaSalt again and they weren’t open yet either. It was rather ridiculous that I’m at an all-inclusive resort- hungry- because room service didn’t arrive and they have no place serving food. I did go to the Enclave desk and Mari brought me into the lounge and said they would put a food order in for me right away. They did take my order immediately but it was almost 1 pm before the food came. The whole food debacle is why I withhold one star on the rating. I did not let that ruin my experience. Overall it was a great trip and we really enjoyed the resort. Also the spa was wonderful. We did the Hydro Spa and Couple Swedish Massage. We throughly enjoyed the spa.
