“Awesome Independent Hotel”
It's hard to find an independent hotel in this part of Cancun, and Mayan Monkey was a real treat. If you don't want the big-resort all inclusive experience but want to be close to the beach and the night life, this is the hotel to stay at.

“Superb Hostel!”
Gorgeous hostel in a great location. Feels like a boutique hotel for backpackers. My room did have a mildew smell - opening the windows and cranking the AC for a bit worked.
