We had a supernice stay at this beachfront hotel. The service in the beach bar was excellent and everybody was very service mindes and friendly. This hotel is perfekt located with 3min to town center. Bicycles or golf cars for rent from the hotel If you want to explore the Island. We came from a week in Playa del Carmen which was ok, but Holbox was more laid back and relaxing . White Sandy beachens and turquoise water made life easy🌴☀️

This was our first trip to Holbox. This hotel was perfect! It was clean and simple. Everyone was so nice and went out of their way for us, especially Javy! We enjoyed the fun bar and beach area during the day and then the very quiet nights even being on the ground floor! The included breakfast was also very nice. Highly recommend!

“Great balance between peace and party”

Summary: great stay, cute chic boutique hotel. Breakfast is very good. Perfect location on the beach, not a far walk from downtown (about 3 blocks) but still far enough to avoid the crowds. At this time of year (April) you get to see the sun rise and set on the water horizon. Tips for potential guests: - Bring enough cash. Many services in and out of the hotel are best done with cash and ATMs are not abundant. Many places including the hotel will add a surcharge for card usage. Other places just don’t take them. - If interested in excursions and tours, you can find slightly better prices outside of the hotel but if convenience is what you want, then hotel prices aren’t bad. - Pools aren’t very large and not the most attractive so don’t book for this reason, unless you have children. It’s more appropriate for them. - There’s a 45min unattended beach chair/bed rule limit. They get taken up pretty quick in the morning and some people walk away and leave their things, so ask a staff member for help getting a spot if someone is hogging a spot without being there. - Taxis are necessary to the hotel (uneven, unpaved, and sometimes flooded dirt roads). These are covered ATVs that only fit up to 4 people with a bed for luggage. As of this post, they charge $100 pesos from the pier to the hotel and $150 pesos for the return. So have CASH. - There’s a refundable deposit of $100 USD at check-in (card accepted) - Pay attention to the long list of rules that they give you at checkin to avoid headaches. - You have to ask for a lock at the desk if you want to use the safe. - Only very few rooms (2 or 4) have a beach view. So don’t be disappointed if you can’t get one. - They offer spa services - There’s little to no space to store your clothes outside of your own suitcases - There’s no TV (probably a good thing) - FYI There’s tons of raccoons! Which we liked. - The season for flamingos is May-September (also the hottest time) - Ask around to see if the water conditions are ideal for snorkeling and for the bioluminescence tour before booking. - The 2 ferry lines that connect Holbox to Chiquilá charge $600 pesos per person as of this post. One line runs every top of the hour, the other at every half of the hour. (So in essence every 30mins). They don’t always leave on time, so add like 15 mins to the 20-minute trip to get to the other side. - If you have your own car or rental, you can park it in Chiquilá for about $100 pesos a night (cash only). For the hotel: Suggestions: - Hammocks need an upgrade. There’s many throughout the hotel but they’re in bad shape and very uncomfortable. They’re decoration at this point - Some storage in the rooms would be helpful. There’s no drawers or closets. - We noticed several vendors stopped by the beach club and took up seats/beds that could’ve been available for guests. - Promote your spa services better at the beach club to fend off other people offering the service if you want to keep your customers. The hotel spa lady complained to us that we should’ve used the hotel spa after another vendor next door sold us massages (great ones I must add). So complaining to your guests about this is not the way to go. Keep your property clear of vendors and you’d be able to keep your customers. PROS: - loved the calm and relaxing atmosphere at the hotel. Everything is very peaceful during the evening. We couldn’t even hear the parties in nearby hotels. - Nice touch with the welcome drinks (even though they were virgin) - Friendly staff - A good selection of tours and activities available for booking - Breakfast is awesome 👏

My daughter and I did a girls trip here in March 2026. Hotel was good- similar to what others have said.... Breakfast was pretty simple and had to get there early if you wanted any variety. Pretty basic. Beach was laid back and good. Room was nice ( although I booked 2 beds and we only got one)- Not a big deal but different than what I had booked. ( Javy) and his crew at the bar were fantastic and knew our names by the first 15 min. We asked to stay an hour later and paid the extra hour charge but seemed to be some discrepancy between what it says online and what they want you to pay ( which, was annoying). The front desk girl did meet me 1/2 way but I think you should advertise the amount and stick to it, not dial up a number when the person is standing there. All and all- I think the value is here. The place is safe, food is decent and location can't be beat.
