“Good pool, bit far from the center, noisy in the mornings”

A bit further from the center, but 30min walk or 5 min taxi (60-80peso) ride can take you there. There is also a Bus for 5 peso on the 30th avanue. Our room was clean with tv and aircon, room service excellent. Nice pool on the roof. Place is noisy at mornings, construction around.

This is our go to place in Playa del Carmen! We have stayed here 4-5 times. It is on the quiet up and coming end of Fifth ave. The accomodation is basic and clean. We get a bedroom with private bath and complete kitchen set up with a futon couch. It is within walking distance to the beach and where the action is! The staff is pleasant but not available 24 hours.

“Experience ruined by construction”

Friends and I stayed in Las Perlas Condos twice during our month long trip to Mexico. Our first experience was great, the rooms were very a decent size with a Tv and very good value for money, with access to three pools one of which was right above our bedroom. There was no lift and a lot of stairs but bell-boys were very attentive as there carried our five heavy cases up five flights of stairs. We liked it so much that we decided to return. However our second experience was not great at all. On our first night we were woken up at 8.30am after a long day of traveling the day before to the sound of the pool above us being drained. It sounded as if the pool was being emptied into our bedroom, it was then followed by deafening construction noise that continued throughout the day. The noise was so loud we couldn't even hear the receptionist as we tried to complain about the pool. They offered no discount and were not very apologetic about the situation. We felt we should have been warned about the noise.

This hotel does the job...it's a pretty small, bare bones room. The air works super good especially great because of the humidity there. Cleaning service was also great and very efficient! There's only one mirror in bathroom which would pose a problem for girls traveling together. Lots of storage space but minimal floor space to put your suitcases. Was just my boyfriend and I so we made it work since he travels light lol. Was very nice to have a full size fridge to keep ice and our leftover food to eat after hours! Also a microwave was very convenient. No coffee maker in room, but they had coffee each morning in lobby. I only went to the pool at La Playa across the street which is on the rooftop. Amazing view to ocean and pool area was clean. Only drawback was no stairs or shallow end to easily get out of pool, and when you've been drinking was no small fete!
