This was our first all inclusive stay as a family and it certainly set the bar for what a laidback 5* family resort should be. We stayed in a two bedroom residence in building 5 and were not disappointed. It was perfect for the 5 of us to either have our own space or sit together for a meal or movie night. We booked through a friend who’s a member so the elevated attention and perks from our butler was outstanding. We had no problem booking restaurants or excursions, reserving a Bali bed, etc because our butler had our back! The grounds are always being maintained and seeing wildlife everyday was cool. The food is the star of the show. From the breakfast buffet to the à la carte restaurants, we did not have one bad meal the entire trip. We look forward to heading back in the future.

“Sad to be leaving”

I’m sad to leave, that says it all, staff are wonderful, hotel, rooms, pools all kept clean and tidy. Food was good but could do with more variety over two weeks it gets very repetitive. Entertainment was a bit of a let down, not enough space or seats to watch it and the music is too loud. Beach… more

I’m sad to leave, that says it all, staff are wonderful, hotel, rooms, pools all kept clean and tidy. Food was good but could do with more variety over two weeks it gets very repetitive. Entertainment was a bit of a let down, not enough space or seats to watch it and the music is too loud. Beach is very rocky and limited points of access. But overall we’ve had a wonderful time, thank you the fives!

“Amazing place”

Over all our experience was amazing. Our room leaked night one so we had to spend the next day with no room while they moved us. And they were very accommodating and helpful. We had an amazing trip

We travelled as a family with our 11-year-old twins. Seeing some of the previous reviews, I did have some concerns, but our trip was fantastic, one of the most fun and relaxing we've ever taken - this is our 5th time travelling to the Caribbean over Easter. The food is varied, plentiful, especially the gorgeous fish restaurant on the beach (serves fries for the kids), breakfast taco station, the Mexican fiesta evenings, I loved the sushi, my husband liked the Thai, the boys' favourite was the stone-baked pizzas at the Italian. The resort is large and low rise so feels more like a village, we were in villa 20 which looked out onto the rainforest/mangroves (no flies anywhere) but absolutely gorgeous monkeys which we could see from our balcony, the twins loved going down to the walkway to see them along with coaties (super cute), turtles in the lake and little capybara looking things. The wildlife was a huge unexpected bonus. The hotel staff are exceptional, nothing was a problem, always smiling, saying hello, the best staff we've ever encountered. I never write reviews, but we had such a lovely time I couldn't not, which is a first. We travelled with TUI and booked our trips in advance, one was to Tulum Mayan Ruins / A cenote and turtles - a full day and very cultural, both boys really enjoyed it, especially the cenote, which had bats and Tulum ruins was teaming with huge iguanas. The second was a day at a natural water park which had bikes, ziplines, a natural lazy river, plentiful food and drinks which we all enjoyed. Our room was huge with a lounge/kitchen area for the boys and a huge bedroom for us. People had complained there aren't any facilities in the kitchen, but I'm not sure why you'd want them, as the fridge is restocked with drinks every day, as is the coffee, and there is so much food at the resort. As it's a large resort, it's worth getting up at a decent time to get the sun beds you want - we didn't have any problems getting sun beds and there are plenty on the beach or by the fish restaurant, which are always free. We'd head out early to eat 6/7pm and had short waits (time for a drink at the bar) for a table, but mostly we were seated straight away. The green juice for breakfast is really nice. I didn't mind paying for fresh coffee at Marleys in the mornings. Tip: The monkeys are usually at their most playful in the early evenings and early mornings before it gets too hot. We logged into Netflix, prime, Disney on the two big TV's in the room so the boys could watch a movie if they needed a break from the sun, which was handy. Check out was swift and easy, as was check in. The ride from the airport was under an hour. We couldn't believe how smooth and relaxing this resort was, certainly raised the bar for future trips!
