OVERALL We had an incredible stay at the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya this past week! From the outstanding staff and delicious food to the beautiful grounds and unique wildlife, every part of our vacation was wonderful. The moment we arrived, we were welcomed with refreshing drinks, cold towels, and warm hospitality that immediately made us feel at home. We stayed in Building 3 and loved our room. The large balcony, Bluetooth speaker, and thoughtful amenities made our stay even more comfortable. The fresh robes and slippers provided each evening were a wonderful touch. The location was perfect, with an easy walk to the pools and restaurants. PEOPLE The highlight of our trip was all the wonderful and talented team members we met! Carlos from the Go Team consistently went above and beyond to make every activity fun, engaging, and memorable. His energy is contagious, and he has the best smile. He is a natural entertainer! Sairy from the Go Team brought so much joy to every activity. She always kept us laughing, bringing a smile to our faces, and made us feel right at home. We looked forward to seeing her each day! Pablo joined later during our stay, but quickly worked his way into our hearts. He was friendly, enthusiastic, and a great host! The evening entertainment was also impressive. We loved the talented singers and dancers, especially Elvis. The magic show by Sebastian Perrin was spectacular. All of the performers did an excellent job of keeping the audience engaged throughout the shows! The resort also offered plenty of entertainment after the main shows, which kept the energy going throughout the evening. A special mention goes to the Imperial Band. We only had the chance to see them a few times and would’ve loved to see them more, as every performance was exciting and unforgettable! Their music filled the Plaza España with energy and had guests dancing from start to finish. We also ended every evening with DJ Jerry! He was very kind and played a range of different music to engage and entertain everyone. He also added incredible touches to all of the shows! The Plaza España was one of our favorite places to spend the evenings, and we would also like to recognize server/bartender Wilberth for his excellent service. Service throughout the entire resort was exceptional! We would especially like to mention Fabiola (server from Ginger), Domingo (from Mar y Tierra), and Lizbeth (host at Le Marché) for being so welcoming and helpful. ACTIVITIES The Go Team did a fantastic job at keeping guests entertained all day with a wide variety of activities. We especially enjoyed the daily aqua bikes, aqua gym, and aqua Zumba sessions. These activities were always energetic and lots of fun thanks to the enthusiasm of the Go Team. Digital bingo and digital Mexican lottery quickly became daily traditions for us too, and we looked forward to them every afternoon. We also enjoyed the cooking class and making friendship bracelets. The pre-show digital trivia was another favorite, and the pool games were always entertaining to watch. There was truly something for everyone, no matter your interests or activity level. PROPERTY & WILDLIFE The Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya is a stunning property filled with beautiful landscaping, elegant décor, unique architecture, and abundant wildlife. One of our favorite parts of the trip was observing the animals that call the resort home. We saw coatis, birds, iguanas, lizards, deer, sea turtles, squirrels, raccoons, and agoutis. We even spotted Evan, the famous giant iguana, near the Golden Pool! We also had the opportunity to dance with Kenny the llama. The walking paths throughout the property made it easy to explore the resort and enjoy its natural beauty. Everything was always clean and well-kept. The special touch of acoustic music playing throughout the paths kept the vacation magic alive every second of the day! We loved the three fantastic pools! The main pool is spacious and lively, with two swim-up bars, two whirlpools, plenty of provided floats, tons of pool chairs, organized activities, and quieter areas for relaxation. The Golden Pool and Silver Pool provide a more peaceful atmosphere and are perfect for guests seeking a quieter, more low-key experience. The fitness center was also impressive — large, clean, well-equipped, and always stocked with cold water. Everywhere we looked, attention had been given to even the smallest details. FOOD & DRINKS The food and beverage experience was excellent from beginning to end. We visited all of the themed restaurants for dinner and enjoyed every meal we had. Some of our favorites included La Hacienda, Ginger, L’Olivo, and Mar y Tierra. We really enjoyed the daily signature cocktails at the themed restaurants and the chef’s special appetizer offered each evening. We also loved the breakfast buffet at Le Marché, the poolside food trucks for lunch, and the à la carte lunch at Mar y Tierra. Café Sisal and Don Miguel became favorite stops for coffee and specialty drinks before and after dinner. Every meal felt unique and had options for everyone. Special shoutout to the bartenders throughout the resort (at the pools, the theater, Plaza España) — who were skilled, attentive, friendly, and consistently delivered excellent service. EXTRA SPECIAL MOMENTS One member of our group celebrated her birthday during our stay, and the resort staff went out of their way to make the occasion special. She received a special dessert delivered to her room as a surprise, her name appeared in the daily journal, and the team at the French restaurant presented her with a birthday dessert while singing Happy Birthday. Sairy from the Go Team also surprised her with a thoughtful gift and arranged for everyone at bingo to sing Happy Birthday. These personal touches made her feel celebrated and showed how much the staff cares about creating memorable experiences for their guests. FINAL THOUGHTS The Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya is truly a one-of-a-kind resort. The exceptional staff, outstanding entertainment, beautiful grounds, incredible wildlife, and excellent dining come together to create an unforgettable vacation experience. After spending a week here, we completely understand why so many guests return year after year. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
