Just like many resorts we have been to, you see mixed reviews before you travel, which gets you a little nervous before you leave. For background, I can't say I expect true 5 star service at any resort. They are there to serve the masses, and from my perspective I'm not working, cooking for cleaning, so I'm just there for a good time. That being said: TL;DR - Book this resort without hesitation. Consider Preferred. Definitely consider a swim out room. Check In: Check in was a breeze. We had a very early flight (which helps not checking in when everyone else is) so the resort held our bags as our room wasn't ready. We booked preferred so the air conditioned lounge was a welcome place to check in. We were given all the details of the resort, some welcome cocktails, and while we were offered the presentation, it wasn't pushy at all. Room: We had a swim out room in building 4, which was right next to the beach bar. The room was clean, the water was always warm and pressurized, our room was serviced daily with the minbar refilled, and the poolside service from the beach bar while overlooking the beach was perfect. No issues and exactly as advertised. Food: I think food is always a preference thing, but I would say that this is some of the best food we've had at a resort. This is coming from a guy who buys his meat at a meat market and has a grill, smoker and blackstone. We didn't utilize the buffet for dinner at all, and enjoyed all the a la carte restaurants we ate at. I would probably order them as follows: Protofino, Bluewater Grill, Himitsu (not hibachi, just off the menu), and the El Patio. We didn't try Bordeaux just based on scheduling and we did order room service one night which was delivered timely and was good enough. Bluewater had excellent a la carte lunch and even the barefoot grill was decent. We aren't huge lunch eaters, so we would eat dinner early and never had a problem getting a table for 4. My daughter loved the Revive bar for smoothies and "milkshakes" and it was a great place to pick up some fresh fruit to stash in the room for snacking. The buffet was average for breakfast but we were always able to find something to eat and the fresh made omlettes were delicious. Beach: Sargassum has taken over and we couldn't get in the water while we were there despite them working to clear it everyday. That didn't stop morning and evening walks on the beach or the kids from playing in the sand. Pools: Because we were traveling with my daughter we spent most of our time at the main pool. It was huge and we never felt crowded. We were able to be part of the activities if we wanted and could find a place to relax if that was our vibe for the day. The shallowest section of the pool is near the swim up bar, so it was generally filled with kids which bother us but something to consider if you're trying to avoid the little ones. We did spend some time at the preferred pool, which had a very chill vibe, and was a little warm for our liking. The preferred pool bar did make very tasty cocktails however. Resort Size: For the building we were staying we thought the resort was the perfect size. The set up for the evenings with the bar and theater were perfect and the water slides were close enough but also far enough from the main pool. Staff: There wasn't one person we interacted with that wasn't accommodating, upbeat and pleasant. I think this is a theme across the reviews and it shows that the staff cares. Entertainment: These were also some of the best shows we've seen. Between the shows and the live music in the lobby bar every night, we always wanted to be there. We didn't spend any late night time out (as we preferred to go back and swim in our pool) so I can't comment on the sports bar or night life. Overall, this was a fantastic trip. We generally like to visit different resorts to see different places and sights, but we would absolutely consider coming back here again.

We got married at the Dreams Sapphire on June 12th, 2026. Everything was perfect. All of our family and friends booked rooms at the resort and had the best time. The pools, food, shows, and overall atmosphere were amazing. Everything was clean, and the prices were reasonable! All service and staff were amazing. Especially the wedding staff. Vianey, our coordinator was amazing and so helpful. She did everything we wanted and it was all perfect. Cannot recommend the staff and this place enough!
