“Lovely Perfect Beach Hotel! Go NOW before anything changes!”

We booked another trip to Hotel Alito before we'd even left - it's THAT perfect and AFFORDABLE. Individual Beach Palapas or Thatched Roof Cottages in the sand, under palm tree cover of shade yet ON the beach. We paid $100/night in 12/25 and on out 5/26 trip $85/night including taxes and fees and a … more

“Very satisfied with this minimalist jungle aesthetic hotel very close to the beach.”

We visited Tulum Alito Hotel in late December for 5 nights. Overall a very good experience. The hotel being in a National Park/nature reserve gives the hotel an exclusive quality where neither it nor the surrounding area or beaches ever feel particularly crowded or loud. The property is lushly land… more

Individual Beach Palapas or Thatched Roof Cottages in the sand, under palm tree cover of shade yet ON the beach. We paid $100/night in 12/25 and on out 5/26 trip $85/night including taxes and fees and a FULL BREAKFAST for two plus you have full free access to the beach beds / beach club. Quiet relaxing atmosphere is very family and couple friendly, very safe and peaceful. Breakfast is by the sea, delicious and plenty filling with many choices from Huevos Rancheros to Pancakes with Banana and Caramel, or French Toast with berry jam or an American style breakfast plus a glass of juice or fruit plate. Accommodations include a private bathroom attached with pretty open air (look up!) shower and lots of hot water. Air conditioning and free WiFi. (We used to stay here when it was Zazilkin and there was no electricity so these upgrades are amazing!) Double bed with daily maid service and privacy fence with an outdoor table. Super comfortable bed and pillows. (Daily maid service is wonderful in a Beach Hut because of the sand which gets swept off the floor and from your bedding). Alito provides soap, shampoo, bath towels AND beach towels. New beach towels can be exchanged at the Front Desk if you need fresh. Bikes are available to rent for a very inexpensive price. We rode all the way to La Zebra about 8-9 miles down the beach road to meet friends.. Im 60 - it's a flat easy ride (if not too hot) but even so its a fun ride and you can take your time stopping along the way for a cocktail or a swim whenever you like! The property has two bars, a beautiful restaurant serving three meals a day with exquisite service and a varied menu with seafood like Salman Carpaccio or Spring Rolls, a delicious steak and more. And the property is walkable to some other restaurants as well from ZZK Beach to Playa Paraiso. The property is exquisitely beautiful with walking paths just steps from the beach. A cold water pool was put in and is great for cooling down on very hot days. There is a pool table, chess, foosball and other games/books in a game room by the lobby. 24/7 Front Desk with helpful friendly English speaking staff. The manager David formerly lived in California and is a true hotel professional with friendly and helpful advice and service is top notch. Bartenders were chatty, fun and helpful from Fernando and Cande to Restaurant staff Jesus, Jesue, and Samuel. Great service at the beach too of course! You can eat lunch at your comfy covered beach lounger if you prefer! Or choose a table in the beach front restaurant! We also had amazing Shrimp Ceviche, Fish Tacos and Burritos right next door at the ZZK Beach club. ZZK was formerly all part of the same property years ago, but now split to separate entities with Alito having been upgraded many many notched from the old Zazilkin. Yes - this property is inside the new National Park sooooo you'll have to pay a small entrance fee (was around $8 US per person) when you enter between 8-5 pm. After that, no fees. We simply planned our days off property to return enter at about 5:15 and so had no re-entry fees. That said, the fee is MORE THAN FAIR because the area is being conserved!! Plus the park now has free shuttle buses inside the park and no traffic may come in after 5 unless staying in the hotels within. This makes the area very safe, peaceful and quiet in the evenings!! We loved the location inside the park - just plan your entries strategically if you're there many days and don't want to rack up many daily fees. Taxis can no longer wait in the property driveway - so use the local uber service, the collectivos, or rent a bike. Front desk will call you a taxi if you prefer. Getting to the property - take an ADO bus from the Tulum airport (ticket booth is inside the airport near the exit doors next to Starbucks. $12/person to the Tulum Pueblo. We like to go to the town and walk around, buy sunscreen and bug spray etc, have a lunch / then grab a cab to to hotel at 5 pm. You can ask your driver to stop at Chedraui - the giant supermarket if you want to keep any snacks etc in your room. (Be aware there's no fridge, but crackers or other shelf stable items do fine) Get a massage from Zuleyka. She works from the property and is a true professionally trained therapist. I thought I'd be getting the basic "beach massage" but instead had a transformation-- I showed up limping with hip pain and left feeling energized and in zero pain! (Crazy!) Overall this place is currently the BEST bargain for your money on this beautiful beach that can be quite expensive at other properties!! Go now before it changes too much because it's perfect 🤩
