We've been at Mak Nuk villlage several times now and keep returning. It's a beautiful place overall and the one bedroom penthouse where we stayed is really fantastic. We stayed here 3 weeks this time, but would have liked to stay more. There is a new road just outside the property that brings you to the beach in a few minutes. We enjoyed the big pool, but even more the warm jacuzzi and the private rooftop pool to enjoy some privacy and beautiful sunsets. The pool downstairs is one of the biggest pools of Tulum with the form of an enormous octopus with rivers that bring you to the swim up units. You can get in directly from your unit or even from you main jacuzzi next to the bar. It gives us a feeling of total freedom, because you can get all your clothes off or if you don't like that you just keep them on. Nobody cares what you prefer. You just do whatever it makes you feel good. That is what we like about Mak Nuk like we love the garden with his palmtrees and plants. If you follow the river you feel like you're swimming in a small jungle! It's a romantic place where you can choose to keep you cloths on or to take them of. There is silence, especially during the night. (away from the hustle and bustle in the village) The room is very nice decorated with a beautiful bedroom, comfy kingbed and a walk in rain shower. We also did some home cooking in the night. There is a full kitchen with an oven, American size fridge/freezer with icemaker, microwave, toaster, blender and everything you need to prepare yourself a nice dinner or lunch. A lot of good restaurants and a small supermarket are just at 5 minutes walking distance. We will be back absolutely. The rental agency did a nice job. The condo was clean and while we where here , they cleaned up for us (on request for small amount), cleaned the jacuzzi and plungepool, brought us clean towels, sheets and water. Everything you need you just ask Billy or Hiram and they will come to provide you with whatever you need. They have other types of condo's, like a swim up or studio downstairs, but we prefer the penthouse for its privacy and the fantastic views during sunset. We really recommend Mak Nuk Village. It is a unique place and once you'll be there you'll fall in love with the place like we did some years ago.
