“Relaxed vacation”

Usually some thing goes wrong when you going vacation. But this time everything was perfect. I don’t want to mention everything one by one. But I’m telling you, I recommend it and I’m going back for sure.Even that I have been there 3 times. Well done!

Enrique Reynoso was the very best server! This man catered to our every wish throughout dinner. He absolutely made our dinner a fan-freaking fantastic time! Great opportunity for a server to set the tone for an amazing night while we were on vacation in mexico

My family of 6 goes to Mexico almost every year and we stay in two resorts each time; one resort that we know and like, and we try a new one to see. This is one that we tried for the first time and will not come back again to! The resort has potential, but is seriously lacking. Main complaint is that the staff is not geared to accommodate you and make sure you have fun. The staff is there to do as little as possible and enforce every rule they can (there are tons of rules). To give you an example, there are aquatic activities, but the staff did everything possible to make it so that you, as the customer, don't use them. There were 5 sail boats, but only 1 or 2 had sails on them. When you get there, they tell you have to reserve them at 9 am. Then you go the next day at 9 am, and they are booked solid for the day "sorry". This is the case for most everything. They do a bad job of coordinating the activities. Activity wise, the staff is one of the worse I have experienced. The supposedly have a snack bar by the beach and pool, but you can't take food to your spot by the pool. The staff did not help make it easy for us to sit together, as we were a party of 6. If there was not a large table, they would make us sit apart instead of just putting a table together. Something as simple as that, was impossible for them to do. Quest services is totally useless. They have restaurants, but you have to reserve with quest services. Then they tell you you can only eat 2 days in restaurants, the rest has to be in buffets, which is not good. Make sure you reserve the day you get there, because they are booked solid. When you do get a reservation, in our case for a party of 6, they want to give you different hours for part of the group; so some would have to eat at 7 pm and the rest at 9 pm. They cater to "club members" as a guest you get leftover attention. Piece of advice if you do decide to go to this resort. Book the restaurant on the day you get there, take whatever they give you, even if it is at 10pm!, then go and on the same day of your reservation talk to the restaurant manager and try to get in, they are a little more helpful. The place is nice though and the night shows are okay, just make sure you ask what the daily show is because the different hotels have different shows and they don't tell you unless you ask. There are better resorts, especially if you have a family, like activities, and like good service (we like Iberostar Playa del Carmen).
