Just want to say a big thankyou to everyone at the Iberostar hotel who made mine and my family's holiday such a joyful experience. Everyone was so friendly and genuinely nice people. The animation team were amazing and was great with our son who adored them. Food was lovely and a very clean hotel. Couldn't recommend it more.

Pros: - Beautiful garden and hotel grounds. - Beachfront location. - Lovely poolside snack bar. - No extra charge for pool towels. - Fast service and responds via email, app and telephone. - Warm welcome upon arrival with Moroccan tea. - I've been to over 40 countries and I must admit that this hotel has one of the best hospitalities. All staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, attentive and helpful. Sorry I don't remember everyone's names. (Youssef = F&B at lunch buffet on 9th June, Sanae, Anas and Salma at Reception, Security guys at the hotel entrance & the beach on 9th June and also a few engineers fixing our Aircon in Room #3251 on 9th June). Not sure about the room number 😅 Cons: - Dated room and lifts - Broken Aircon. - Dirty balcony and floor was filthy. - Drain smell along the hallway to/from our room. - Indoor pool open only 12.00-14.00 😓 - No kettle, coffee/tea provided in the room (Free daily top up at Riu Tikida Dunas hotel next door). - Extra charge for safety box (again, free at Riu Tikida Dunas hotel next door). - Food and drinks were average. (We stayed at both hotels and found this Iberostar needs to be improved).

Iberostar Agadir As an IHG customer with high status , with hindsight , we picked the wrong hotel , booking independently Whilst it is seen as a 4* hotel , all inclusive , its target market is package holidays for Jet2 and easy jet from the UK Having to wear a wrisband for my stay whilst I understand the need , as it is all inclusive it reminds me of a Butlins holiday camp . In true British style , even though there is an abundance of sunbeds , there is still the sunbed dash early morning to presumably secure the best spot Noticed many folk brought their own towels though beach towels are readily available . A deposit is paid at the beginning of the stay and you can get a towel in exchange . Change it as many times as you like but at the end of your stay , get a card back and your deposit. The hotel whilst promoting 4* is a little dated and tired in places needing decoration and painting in places Dining The restaurant catering for a mass market does deliver in terms of choice and quality . Can’t fault the selection catering for all dietary needs though the signage above dishes was a bit hit and miss so sometimes a guessing game as to what you were eating However the set up evokes memories of a staff canteen . It does work though as you never have to queue for a table . Meals are all self service buffet style so apart from the odd drink being delivered there is no table service Had a couple of meals in the Moroccan restaurant - set menu with wine . Venue is a bit tired but the food is good and plenty - need to book in advance as there are two sittings Rooms Be aware that although you may book a ‘double bed ‘ the majority have twin beds pushed together. They advertise double beds for a select few garden suites Facilities in the room are basic A hairdryer which did the job but is pretty useless for any female who wants to style their hair There is an in room safe which I would recommend to use but you have to pay for it on a daily basis . Be reminded that if anything of value is stolen or lost in the room , most insurance companies will reject a claim if you didn’t make use of a safe ( passports , cash , jewellery) No tea/coffee facilities . Water stations in each level to fill a carafe in your room . Whilst water and drinks are readily available by the pool , it is only available in plastic glasses so you need a reusable bottle to refill if you’re a big water drinker Shampoo,conditioner , shower gel, lotion, soap all available from the dispensers in the bathroom Bed was comfortable enough though I struggled with synthetic pillows Rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced on demand The morning we checked out , someone stole our ‘do not disturb sign ‘ from the door !! Quite bizarre ! Pool,Beach,Activities Plenty available , yoga , Zumba , darts , aquafit etc We spent most of day on the beach in an area reserved for the hotel as the constant music around the pool irritates me. Plenty of sunbeds and static umbrella shades . When the tide is out the beach is extensive & clean . Multiple life guard stations who were very active on a whistle ! The sea is quite aggressive when coming in so keep within your depth . There is a prom walk the length of the beach . About just over 2km to just past the visitors centre , souvenir shops , a small souk and multiple restaurants, both fast food and traditional. Easy way to walk into town though a good 30mins . Do it early morning before it gets too hot Spa This is within the hotel but operates separately Enjoyed a massage and reflexology with prices much cheaper than UK However it is in my opinion a ‘ no frills ‘ spa Had to ask for a towel to use in the indoor heated pool area No robes , slippers and no spa etiquette for disposable underwear for a massage There is a hole in the roof above the pool dripping into the water . Have reported it but really shouldn’t have need to The treatment rooms are clean and the therapist was lovely . However if you have any conditions they need to be aware of , explain to the receptionist before hand as English was basic . The English are still put to shame as most of the hotel staff spoke Moroccan Arabic , French , English and some German Internet access is patchy . In the room was OK , balcony hit and miss . Pool , slow but probably because of high demand . Restaurant and communal area in reception was fine . Husband bought an eSIM at the airport so had good connection and service whereas I relied totally on internet Over all , if you like big hotels , everything inclusive , family entertainment and can compromise on the finer details of comfort then this hotel is for you . It didn’t suit us so a return visit is unlikely . We travel extensively, booking independently and use IHG a lot . This hotel doesn’t represent their brand particularly well
