We had such a great experience at this resort overall—honestly, don’t let the negative reviews scare you off. First, a heads-up: Panama is hot. Like, next-level hot. Sunscreen and rash guards are absolutely essential, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Our room was a big highlight. We upgraded to a family three-bed room, and it was definitely worth it. The beds were extremely comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and there were always plenty of towels. The only downside was that the shower didn’t drain properly, which was a bit annoying. That said, our patio got nice shade in the afternoon, which meant we didn’t have to compete for poolside loungers—huge win. Both pools were beautiful and well-maintained, making them perfect for relaxing or spending time with the family. The arcade was a bit of a letdown. It runs on quarters and dollar bills, and while that’s manageable, the claw machines and prize games aren’t great—there are barely any prizes, so kids might be disappointed. Unfortunately, the kids club had a noticeable moldy smell, which made it less appealing to use. Food-wise, there were some real standouts. Mama Mia was absolutely delicious and a must-try. The taco stand was also amazing—quick, fresh, and full of flavor. The buffet was good, though a bit limited in variety. The steakhouse was mixed: the steak itself was a poor cut, but surprisingly, the burger was large and really tasty. The Wi-Fi worked great throughout the resort, which was a pleasant surprise. One last tip: I highly recommend using Google Translate—it makes communication much easier and enhances the overall experience. Overall, we had a fantastic stay with just a few minor drawbacks. We’d definitely consider coming back.

I stayed for 10 days with my parents and we had a fantastic time. This was because of the amazing staff - especially the entertainment team! Their dancing and performing skills were unbelievable, you can see how hard they all work every day. And not only that - as individuals they made us feel so welcome and went out of their way to give us an amazing and authentic experience in Panama. Thank you so much Jey - for everything! Also thank you so much to Alex, Irving, Jose, Marcus, Aury, Liz, Taelys, Jasser, Ayleen, Earl and Kevin. Playa Blanca resort is incredibly lucky to have you all as employees - you are all STARS !! “The restaurants staff and food are excellent”

We stayed at the residence area but often go to the resort for food. The staff at the restaurants are excellent and food are very good. We specially liked the seafood restaurant "El Velero". All the staff at "El Velero" are exceptional, the salad, dessert bars are varied and fresh and the main dish are excellent. We specially liked the lobster tails and steaks. We also enjoyed the tepanyaki. The tepanyaki cheff, Thomas, has good sense of humor and keeps the crowd entertained. Also, have to mention that the staff at the buffet restaurant are very nice too. Every time we go there, they welcome us with a big smile. We liked the fresh fruits, chicken wings, and the local cheese. Overall we had good experience with the staff at the restaurants and food are excellent. We'll be coming back in the future.

There are two separate properties here. The hotel has acces to the very nice laguna, which is not technically available to resort guests. The resort is all-inclusive, and is an older property. We got a room that had just been renovated, which was very pleasant. Older rooms look really old. There are very few rooms with water views. The beach is OK - but not a lot of shade or many chairs to sit on. Chairs are at a premium around the two pools on busy days. It can be a pretty rowdy crowd on weekends. The food was OK. Plenty of it and decent variety, but little that really stands out. It is quite easy to get reservations at the specialty restaurants, compared to some all-inclusives we've been to. The Italian restaurant was enjoyable. A nice freshly made pizza was delivered to each table. Decent choices on the menu, but most of the food is the same as at the buffet. Lines were not a problem on the buffets. I would look a little further if you're looking for a special time at an all-inclusive.
