I found the overall experience of Don Diego excellent, I went self catering and the facilities were more than adequate for this. The view isn't great, in the sense that all you can see are the hotels across the road but its also not so horrible, I was on the 2nd floor of five and although before going I had been hoping for a higher level, once I went on my balcony I was actually quite glad I didn't as I am scared of heights! All the staff were very nice and the maid for my room did an excellent job. My only gripe is that, staying in room 209 which is right at the end of the building and next to a footpath it was very noisy at times during the night. Overall though this is a place I would recommend.

“Excellent No frills apartments, value for money”

Nice apartment in the centre of Playa del Ingles.. Clean, with lovely private balconies with each apartment. Wifi only worked for five days out of seven. Kitchen adequate. We, couple, did not have a double bed but it was still alright. Estelle at the reception is very helpful, so is everyone else.… more

“Basic and good location.”

For the price, this was a basic apartment that suited us fine for our week's stay. The apartments are in a great location mid way between the beach and the Yumbo centre. There is a small supermarket a couple of minutes away that sells everything you need. There are two pools, one for families with a bar and a smaller one which is adults only. The negatives would be that the room is looking tired and showing signs of aging (scuff marks on the walls and furniture was a bit tatty). Although we had room service most days with clean sheets and towels, the floors always appeared dirty.

You are in the middle of Playa del Ingles, close to the beach and Yumbo centre. You have access to two pools which are both very clean and nice. One of them is adult only and quiet. There were a few things that could improve. Like that there were insects walking in the bathroom (ants and what looked like little cockroaches). Which I think is because the bathroom is poorly finished. You also get new towels every 3 days. We didn’t know that and just put them on te ground. The cleaners just folded them again and put them back. This is kinda dirty. The cleaners also come into the room even if you put the doorhanger on that it doesn’t need cleaning (We didn’t want it anymore since they throw alot away, like plastic bags and bottles which we wanted to reuse because of the environment). The bedroom was very dark and small and the beds kept rolling apart from each other. The beds itself did lay comfortably tho and the air conditioning is also nice. The wifi did not work well, only on the balcony we could watch a movie. It was too slow inside. Overall are the rooms fine but I would spend a little bit more next time and go elsewhere.
