“Incredible Concert Night”

We went on a Friday Night, for the Rock Concert and a 5 cours menu. We had an exceptional night at the Corallium. Service was wonderful, thoughtful and anticipating our every need. Food was excellent and the concert was incredible. High quality set from very solid musicians. The GM also came by our table to greet us and ask if everything was going well, before later dancing to the music in the restaurant. The mood in the restaurant was very nice and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. We are most definately coming back. Thank you for a fantastic night!

“Overall good place to stay”

Having been to GC this our 6th visit and feel the Corallium location is the best. Having been to GC this our 6th visit and feel the Corallium location is the best. Upgrading to Unique was a good option and would like to give a big thank you to Arinegua, Paola and chef Aaron for giving us the best breakfast service ever. Overall all staff are friendly and polite and the hotel is kept very clean. Being a Unique client also gave us a sea view room but the noise from bar area, adjacent, was quite loud, just a warning if you expect early nights. The transition from winter to summer season, Apr-May, was interesting as we could no longer use Bar Nereo to get drinks and forced to use the hotel bar below, being served in plastic glasses etc although you are allowed to take your drinks back to Bar Nereo if requiring a more relaxed environment and comfy seats

“Good hotel with minor issues.”

just arrived back from a weeks stay at this hotel and on the whole it is a nice place to stay. We upgraded to the unique status and had a room with a sea view and access to the unique lounge and a select area with sunbeds for unique guests which have padding on them, however it is only a small area so not enough sunbeds for all unique guests and although there are signs saying "no reserving of sunbeds allowed" people were reserving them and the management did not enforce the rule which is very annoying. that said the days when we used the area we always got a bed without reserving one which I do not do anywhere. the unique lounge area is used for breakfast for unique guests, hot stuff is freshly cooked to order and there is freshly squeezed orange juice pastry's cold meats cheeses etc and is altogether nice. also it is used for lunch with a selection of sandwiches, fresh fruit, a selection of nuts but no crisps (potato chips) which I would have liked with my sandwiches. there is white and rose cava available and there is a fridge with red and white wines but only one beer, Heineken which was disappointing for me as I hate the stuff and there were other beers on site in other bars that they could have put in bearing in mind you have paid extra for this facility. We had a sea view room on the 12th floor, it was big enough for us, well maintained, cleaned every day and altogether good apart from 2 things. there is only one side of the bed with storage as on the other side it is just a table so it would be better if it were 2 bedside cabinets and the other thing no lights in the ceiling so even with the 2 bedside lights on and the floor standing light on the room was dimly lit. the food in the main dining room was good and varied, could always find something to eat so no issues from us. grounds and pool area were well maintained, didn't use the pool so cannot comment on temperature but apparently it is climate controlled and plenty of people used it. there are 2 other pools but they are small and not climate controlled. the hotel is built on a hill and reception is on the 7th floor with the pool and exit for access to the beach and shops across the road being on the 1st floor. now for the bad when we arrived we were told that our all inclusive package included the pool bar, coral bar on the 6th floor and the Nereo bar on the 7th floor however after the 1st day everyone received a letter telling us that the Nereo bar was no longer available to all inclusive guests so of an evening everyone who was all inclusive had to use the coral bar or pay in the Nereo bar. downside of this is that the seating for the coral bar is outside and the bar is only small so I can imagine come the height of the season it will get very busy and will take ages to get served as happened to us on a couple of nights and it is still the quiet time of year. if it rains there is nowhere under cover at the coral bar and if you are unique guests you cannot use that area after 18:00 as it is turned into the restaurant for the Nereo bar. my other gripe is the cocktails, they were pre mixed out of a bottle and were horrible, and unless you were premium all inclusive you got local spirits. we upgraded to the premium because we thought we would get cocktails freshly made which is what a barman told us, the reality was that they still cane pre mixed and if you wanted fresh made you had to pay which went against the grain a bit for me as I have already paid more for the upgrade. another gripe is after we upgraded to premium you were still limited to which spirit you could have, I like vodka and even though we have now paid extra I could only have Absolut even though there was grey goose on the shelf which I thought was penny pinching in the grand scheme of things. the next issue was that the spirits were measured after the upgrade to premium, again penny pinching and you had to tell the staff how to make your drink otherwise they drowned out the spirit with mixer so you couldn't taste what you were drinking. Having been to the carribean multiple times we have been spoilt with the all inclusive there as it means what it says, what you see you can have and it is such a shame that in Europe it is not the same as they just want to squeeze every penny out of you they can. Would I recommend a stay here, yes if you are not a picky drinker like me.

“Disappointed”

Very nice hotel. However, disappointed with the food and drinks. We have stayed at a different hotel in the same resort for less money and the food and drinks experience was exceptional. Overall disappointing.
