Arrived at the hotel to a warm welcome and glass of bubbly. The room was very clean and comfortable. Small south facing balcony. Well equipped kitchen area with full size fridge. Bottle of water in the fridge on arrival. There were plenty of quality towels, which were changed whenever required. Good shower with large shower cubicle. We found the toilet area rather small and tight to get in and out of the door. The bed was comfortable and we always had a good nights sleep. It was very peaceful apart from the odd person slamming doors, but sadly you get this everywhere. We only ate breakfast at the hotel, but it was very good, with a plentiful selection of fruits, cereals, cold meats, pastries, hot buffet and eggs cooked to order. What I particularly liked was that the buffet items were on plates that were not too large, but as soon as they needed replenished, this was done immediately. This meant that meat, cheese etc was not sitting out for hours, as in some places. Breakfast was served until noon, which was excellent. Also, any used plates were cleared quickly and empty tables reset immediately for the next guest. There were more than enough sun beds and two pool areas which were kept immaculately clean and tidy. There was also a roof terrance. The hotel was well situated. Three shopping centres, with bars, restaurants etc, within easy reach. The beach, maybe a ten minute walk, but the quicker routes did involve some steps, to watch out for if you have limited mobility. A taxi either to or from the main beach area cost less than 4 euros. Now, I must talk about the staff. As with so many other reviews, we found them to be friendly, courteous and helpful at all times. The reception staff always took time to acknowledge us. The cleaning staff did a really good job. It was our habit to leave the room about noon or even later. Sometimes we were only out for three hours but the room was always cleaned by the time we got back. The waiting staff were a delight. They were always smiling and really seemed to enjoy their work and get on well with their colleagues. My husband had a coughing fit, one morning at breakfast, and before he could get up, a waiter arrived at the table with a glass of water for him. We liked the fact that the general manager made his presence known. On a Monday, there is a chance to meet the staff, with complimentary bubbly and snacks. and live music. This is such a good idea. Finally, I would just like to thank the female fire warden, who assisted me, when we had to evacuate the hotel during a fire drill procedure. She could see that I was struggling with the stairs, due to a recent injury, and she personally helped me out and found a seat for me. The staff really do make this very good hotel, a great hotel.
