This is my fourth visit and I really can't fault the hotel. Some niggles I mentioned in my last review have been addressed. I had not planned to return until after the refurbishment but I understand this has been delayed. Yes, the place is a little dated but I like the Arabic style. I would suggest that for a first time visitor, it is made clearer as to where to get the pool towels from. You are given a very small ticket which is the size of a postage stamp to give to the pool attendant in order to be given a towel. I would have thought it would be simpler to have the pool towels in the bedroom (as some hotels do)? There is a theme night for dinner - Mexican, German/Austrian, Italian, Balkan/Arab, Spanish and other countries I can't remember. No "British food" night! The staff were friendly and helpful and I look forward to a return visit after the refurbishment.

“Great hotel with games area”

Fantastic hotel for kids, teens, couples and sun worshippers. The layout of the hotel makes it secure against non-residents just wandering in from the street. Fantastic hotel for kids, teens, couples and sun worshippers. The layout of the hotel makes it secure against non-residents just wandering in from the street. There is a really big shady area with games, perfect for kids and adults, but also an alternative to being in the sun. The food was great and there was a large selection to choose from. There was different entertainment each evening which went down well. The kids loved the pool as there were 2 shallow areas in the main pool. There is also a separate kids pool. There were no issues with sun beds, we would head down before lunch and still be able to get some. There is a sun bathing deck for the serious sun bathers. The staff at the hotel could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. It was the perfect hotel and location for our young families.

We recently spent a wonderful week at Seaside Sandy Beach in Gran Canaria during May 2026, and it was hands-down one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the pristine condition of the entire property and the incredibly warm welcome from the staff. The hotel is impeccably clean – honestly some of the cleanest we've seen anywhere. Our room was spotless every single day, with fresh towels, perfectly made beds, and not a speck of dust in sight. The public areas, pools, and beach access were all maintained to the highest standard. You could tell that cleanliness is a real priority here, and it made our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. The food was another highlight – absolutely fantastic! The buffet offered an incredible variety of fresh, high-quality dishes every day. The breakfast spread was generous with everything from fresh fruit and pastries to made-to-order eggs and local Canarian specialties. Dinner was even better, with beautifully prepared seafood, grilled meats, delicious salads, and wonderful international options. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, and the dessert section was dangerously good! We never got tired of the food – in fact, we looked forward to every meal. What truly set this hotel apart was the excellent service from every single member of staff. Whether it was the friendly reception team, the attentive waiters in the restaurant, the helpful housekeeping staff, or the poolside team, everyone was genuinely kind, professional, and eager to make our stay perfect. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their positive attitudes made us feel truly valued as guests. The location right by the beach is perfect, and May proved to be an ideal time to visit – beautiful weather with warm days but not overwhelmingly hot. We couldn't have asked for more from our holiday. We would highly recommend Seaside Sandy Beach to anyone looking for a relaxing, high-quality beach holiday in Gran Canaria. We'll definitely be back!
