The Sandy Beach is one of the more attractive buildings in the area with the pool nestled in the centre. Just 5 min walk to the beach and bars or 10 mins to the Yumbo centre where you can pick up local busses. Great welcome at check in and the room was fine. There is good entertainment every evening although the hotel guests at this time of the year were mainly older couples, so dont expect all night clubbing. If you are not on all-inc, the bar prices are similar to those outside. The buffet varied each night with a national theme and pre cooked dishes but there was always fresh seafood and an excellent meat selection for the cook to throw on the grill. Salads, cheese and puds were fresh and very attractive. The staff were unfailingly cheerful and always seemed to be keeping the place clean and tidy. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would return.

Hotel is decent 4 star. Pool towels provided and a bit of system to reserve sun loungers in the morning but ok. Food good and nice variety. Staff friendly and place is clean. Pool table a bit dated and could do with an upgrade

As mentioned by others, the rooms at this hotel are a little dated but perfectly serviceable and well maintained. Housekeeping did a good job. There was a kettle and mugs in the room, but not supply of tea, coffee, etc which I thought was strange. After a couple of days I asked for some teabags when at breakfast, and took some milk/cream capsules and sugar from the buffet. The next day, I found a leaflet left by the kettle where I could request different provisions which I was to leave at reception. The following day I had a basket of tea, coffee, etc left in the room. Whether this should've happened when I arrived is questionable. There's an effective 'fridge in the room, but it's not stocked. I ended up buying water from a supermarket most days - on my last day, I noticed a housekeeping trolley with bottles of water on it - perhaps you have to ask for water?! On reaching my room I noticed that it had a bath with a shower over - I really prefer a walk-in shower (which is what I'd seen in photos). I went back to reception and asked for a room with a shower, and was moved without question. The shower pressure is amazing - probably the best I've ever had! Good size room, with a separate 'dressing room'. Breakfast buffet - this seems to be heavily targeted toward continental guests. I'm not a typical Brit in that I want a 'full English', but if I were I'd be disappointed. 'Pink' sausages, their idea of bacon is not ours (it's either burnt on one end and barely cooked at the other). There is an omelette station, which I used once and it was a good omelette. The buffet area is not well designed as there are certain bottlenecks which make it difficult to navigate round people. There never seemed to be an issue with sunbeds around the pool area. Some people did reserve their spot first thing in the morning before heading off to breakfast, but I never had a problem finding somewhere suitable.
