We had such an amazing stay amidst wonderful nature, wildlife and marvellous accommodation. Teressa and Antonio were superb hosts and awesomely helpful and attentive. As we’re all the staff. The jacuzzi, steam room and sauna are a must. Especially after a long weeks walk-in in the Western Algarve. Stay a few nights (as many as you can!!) - not just one!! Thanks

“Rural Paradise”

We arrived in Odemira without a place to stay and rang up the Quinta, where Antonio was so welcoming and gave us directions to the farm, 2 km outside of town. We arrived in Odemira without a place to stay and rang up the Quinta, where Antonio was so welcoming and gave us directions to the farm, 2 km outside of town. Love and respect are clearly the foundation of this family enterprise. Antonio and Teresa are both lovely and constantly helpful with restaurant suggestions and reservations, special needs, hiking recommendations. They aim to make your stay special and unforgettable. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the facilities were wonderful—the beautiful salt water pool was a special treat. It was fun to explore the farm and grounds and to meet the three-week-old donkey. The breakfast buffet, included in the room rate, is exceptional—particularly the homemade jams and preserves, local cheeses, and fresh-baked cakes, not to mention eggs cooked to order. I’m sure we gained weight. After a month of touring Portugal’s cities and towns, our relaxing stay in this beautiful and warm environment was the perfect ending to our trip.

We stayed at Quinta do Chocalhinho for a week, on the recommendation of a local friend. Our host Teresa was extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. She kindly booked a different local restaurant for each of our evening meals (on our request) - which became a spectular nightly exploration of the Odemira regional food and wine scene! (We particularly loved Alento restaurant). Our 2 bedroom maisonette was charming, cool in temperature (it was a hot week!) and perfect for our family. The daily breakfast was amazing - locally grown, freshly squeezed orange juice set the scene; freshly home-baked croissants and pastel de nata, local cheese, jamon, preserves, cake, coffee mmmmmmmmm! The salt water pool is delicious, and I enjoyed taking the beautiful 3km walking route around the farm property. The staff were lovely and I was confident in their frequent and strict Clean and Safe practices.
