“Great apartments”

Excellent big apartments ,very clean and well equipped,good location ,nice sun bathing area and friendly staff,nice big beds and huge balcony, supermarkets near by but worth a walk to inter marche as half the price ,nice to see groups of young ones going for long weekends and having fun

We only booked the holiday a couple of weeks before we went. We were a bit worried about the Kiss nightclub, but luckily that didn’t open until Easter. When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist. When we went up to our room we had been obviously been upgraded and had been given a family room. It was on the top floor and the apartment was massive. We had 3 seaviews from the 3 balconies. It was like a penthouse suite. We were amazed at how beautiful the apartment looked and it made it easier to overlook some of the things that weren’t quite so good. Looking closer, some pieces of furniture and lampshades needed to be replaced, but overall, we were very comfortable and pleased with the room. The aircon/heat units worked well. The cleaning was very good and the beds were changed every 3-4 days. The public areas were fantastically clean and the hotel was obviously being prepared for the summer guests. All of the staff were very friendly, especially Jessica on reception. Any problems at all, like needing a tea towel, that we reported to reception were sorted within about 10 minutes. The grounds were really lovely. The pool was a good size. It was like our own little oasis. We were very well positioned, about seven or eight minutes walk from the strip, a 10 minute taxi drive to the old town which cost about €5 and there were plenty of bars and restaurants without having to go to the strip. All areas were well maintained. The hotel deserves its four stars and the holiday we booked was extremely good value. We would definitely stay there again.

This resort apartment was stunning. Large one bedroom with large kitchenette with table /chairs, full bath. Stunning views with balconies. Spotless. Comfortable bed, 2 sofas with plenty of seating. Sparkling pool and surrounding grounds. Free parking. Most everything in walking distance. Beach very close. Public transportation steps from property. Very accommodating staff. Miguel Silva and Jessica very helpful, both with excellent English speaking skills. All their help very much appreciated! Would stay again! Thanks for a great extended vacation!

We have just spent 5 lovely days at the Areias Village. The apartment was spotless, cleaned every day, spacious and had everything we needed for our short stay with our party of 4. The pool area was great, spotless again with good quality loungers. Pool water was cold although that was expected and the shaded cabana and grassed areas had the space for the kids to play and relax. The pool was a great size, 1.3m at the deepest part. There was no rush for loungers, plenty to go round and inflatables were allowed. We didn’t use the facilities for food but the range of drinks and snacks available looked great. Areas to improve would be strengthening the WIFI around the site as this was limited in some areas and maybe an oven in the apartments to help with cooking variety for those wishing to use the facilities more. These are very minor points though. The apartments are in close proximity to both the strip and old town. The strip didn’t suit our needs although the old town better and a short 15 minute walk away. In terms of supermarkets there is one opposite the hotel for convenience but with Aldi a 15 minute walk away, with better value and choice we would suggest taking the short walk. There is a nightclub opposite the hotel (Kiss) although at this time of year only open Friday to Sunday. (Open Midnight to 6am) We did experience some noise but nothing to spoil our nights sleep. We had room 110 which was at the side of the hotel block, not overlooking the pool but did have double aspect windows and balcony and had sun into the early evening whereas those with pool view lost the sun part of the way through the day, benefiting more from morning sun. Would recommend room 110 and those rooms above on the side. Due to complex being small, it felt really homely, friendly and relaxed. The staff were very helpful when we needed support and overall we had a really pleasant stay. Not sure if we would return in the summer due to the location but outwith very likely.
