What can I say — after reading another review mentioning this felt more like a 4-star hotel, I completely agree. My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and had a great experience. We were lucky with the weather — sunshine all week, especially considering it had been cloudy just before and we were travelling in the off-peak season. Our balcony room was compact but spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed. Most importantly, it was incredibly quiet at night — we slept really well throughout our stay. The air conditioning was fast and efficient, which made a big difference. Our balcony door initially didn’t lock, but after mentioning it to reception, it was fixed within 15 minutes — genuinely impressive service. The rooftop bar was a real highlight: peaceful, relaxing, and never overcrowded. We never had to compete for loungers at any time of day.. in fact we typically had the rooftop to ourselves from 9-11! (again, likely helped by it being off-peak). The self-service towels — free of charge — were a small but thoughtful touch that we appreciated. The pool is on the shallow side (around 1 metre deep) and quite cold, even with temperatures above 20°C. Being from the UK, I found it refreshing, but it’s worth noting that only a few people braved it! The staff across the hotel were exceptional, from reception to breakfast to the bar. Special shoutout to the guy bartender who makes an excellent Piña Colada! Breakfast was great: a standard selection, but everything was fresh, well-presented, and consistently topped up. Location-wise, it’s ideal — about a 5-minute walk to the train station and under 10 minutes to the main strip of restaurants and bars. We ate out every night and didn’t have a single bad meal. One thing to mention is that the hotel seems to attract a slightly older crowd. That suited us perfectly as we were after a relaxed, chilled holiday, but it’s something to be aware of depending on what you’re looking for. Overall, this hotel does all the fundamentals really well. We’re not picky guests, but we recognise when someone does something to a great standard. We wouldn’t hesitate to return!
