The Pousada da Ria is located in Torreira, near the city of Aveiro on a peninsula that acts as a barrier between the Atlantic Ocean and the Aveiro Lagoon. It is a 15-minute drive from the town of São Jacinto and 43 km from the city of Aveiro. This building from the 60s is built on pillars above the water, and affords an up-close and special connection with nature.
Enjoy the Pousada's private beach , protected by the currents and oxygenated by the algae that attest to the quality of the water, to relax and sunbathe. The Pousada da Ria offers bicycles for hire, which are typical in the area, for discovering the city, and you can leave your vehicle free of charge in the Pousada's car park.

“Friendly and very clean place. ”
Really clean and comfortable room. The food was amazing, and the staff was friendly and helpful at all times. Soft sofas to sit and gaze out at the sea. The views were lovely and watching the boats go by was lovely.

I love the stay at Pousada da Ria. One of the more incredible Pousadas of Portugal, it seems our room was just together with the Aveiro's Ria, with an amazing view. “A gem of a place”
The view! The service! The restaurant! We loved staying at the Pousada Ria and wished we could have stayed longer. Our room looked over the water. The room was quiet, serene, elegant and well designed. We definitely will go back on our next visit to Portugal.

It was a spectacular experience all 5 star staff Beautiful place wonderful food Beautiful area very close to Aveiro We can cross the estuary by boat taking our carExperience to repeat and recommend In summer then it will be better as there is an excellent pool in the garden.

“Wonderful”
The personel was very kind, the food was excellent and the view from our room was amazing. We love our stay there because we took a chance of reminding 50 years ago.... From our room we could see a lot of birds and small fishing boats.
