I stayed at Crowne Plaza Caparica Lisbon by IHG during a business trip and had an excellent experience. The hotel is modern, comfortable, and well located – in a quiet area next to a golf course and just a short drive from Costa da Caparica beach. Perfect to unwind after work. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was varied and high quality. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Great spa, outdoor pool, and free parking are definite pluses. A solid choice for both business and leisure. I’ll definitely return!

“Good value for money, great service, quiet, many pools”

We have been coming here as a family, since this hotel became part of IHG, about 4-5 years ago, and this is our 4th visit in 4 years. So here is our view of the last 4 years evolution. This is a hotel where to get a rest away from the city buzz, in a quiet and beautiful surrounding environment . It is on the golf course, its greens surrounds it, on a hill towering the ocean, most of the rooms have an ocean view and a large furnished balcony. Views are hard to beat. To get here, it took us 35 minutes from the airport with heavy traffic at 17h00 and 25 minutes without traffic. Really not a big effort; but requires a car or Taxi/Uber services. The rooms are large and partly renovated. We booked a superior double with ocean view and were upgraded to a Jr Suite with ocean view thanks to my diamond status (room 524). Here are some pros and cons of this hotel, Plus : location, quiet, ocean view, the village is a surfer heaven bustling with life on weekends The hotel has free parking, including 2 underground's levels and a shuttle to the beach area. There are 3 swimming pools, 2 outdoors, including 1 for kids, and a 25m long indoor heated pool at 30c, next to a remodeled spa (opened 4 years ago only) and a super large gym with daily activities (yoga and such). Outside, there is a huge terrace around the pool with sun beds and cabanas, there is a pool bar, which opened on weekend in March with decent prices (Drinks were 12/14€) and the terrace was filled with guests taking the sun by 24c. There is a kids club indoors with activities on weekends. The breakfast is overall good, wide choice of baked goods, sausages, fruits and a show cooking section in the main restaurant, but coffee is a real let down, so were the juices, not freshly squeezed. Our suite (50sqm) had a double balcony of circa 20sqm, an opening sofa, and a redesigned bedroom with a huge closet, in addition to the big closet in the entrance. A kitchen corner with a nespresso machine, dotted with original nespresso capsules. The hotel restaurant has normal prices and good products, the service was extremely slow the night we were there (40mns to get our our order served) but this might be a 1 time issue, food was excellent, wine prices by the bottle very competitive. -Negative : maintenance and cleanliness of the rooms, the renovation wasn't done entirely, the bahroom fixture and plumbing showed large corrosion, and the kitchen furniture shows its age. We found dirty cutlery in the cabinet and no way to clean it, so we left it in the sink to be cleaned by the maid. The coffee capsules weren't replenished daily, neither the tea bags nor the floor were properly properly cleaned daily neither. Seems that room cleaning focus has decreased based on our previous experience. Clear note to management, instruct your contractor and cleaning staff to spend more time on cleaning, please, and doing a better job. Hand towels were missing on day 3. The same could be felt in the indoor pool area with a lack of deep floor cleaning. Yes, it is a large area, but it deserves to be well taken care of. As well on day 1, we left the room at 09h00 with the cleaning sign on the door, and came back at 16h10 to find that only then a maid came to clean it, really annoying as we wanted to rest. Overall: this hotel is great for families. Breakfast will make most people happy, adults and kids, and the location is superb, as long as you don't want to be downtown in the traffic. The ferry to downtown lisbon is 10 to 12mns. drive from the hotel, and avoid you driving to the centre. The boat arrives directly to the centre, no wasted time finding a parking in town. The pools and spa are a heaven for whom want to relax after a long day exploring the region or the town, the staff is super friendly and recognise us thru the years (a big thanks to both Felipe the bell boy and Magdalena from reception). The price for benefits ratio is very positive in this hotel, we stayed in a total of 8 different hotels in Lisbon in the last 10 years, and this has become our favourite. This is an hotel for those who are exploring Portugal with a car, and an excellent base to see other places : Setubal, Troia, and the western part of Lisbon : Cascais, Sintra, all 25 minutes drive thru the bridge "25th April". Lisbon itself is easily reachable, by car, or even better by ferry. Hopefully, the hotel management can work on improving the shortcomings; in particular room maintenance and cleaning service.

We stayed as a family of four in a one-bedroom apartment. The room was good, with a spacious balcony and a nice view over the golf course. The hotel has a lot of potential for families, and the gym was one of the highlights — very well equipped and much better than expected. Breakfast was busy, but there was a good variety of food, so no complaints there. There were a few things that could be improved. The bathroom supplies were not really enough for four people, especially the toilet paper. This is a small thing, but it makes a difference when the room is booked for a family. The main issue was the indoor pool. It was extremely crowded, with too many people using it at the same time. Some guests were jumping into the pool, which made it feel chaotic rather than relaxing. I think the hotel should limit the number of people using the pool or introduce a time-slot booking system. Another serious issue was the female changing room. On several occasions, I saw men entering the female changing area with their wives. My teenage daughter and I were changing and showering, so this made us feel very uncomfortable. The hotel should make the rules much clearer and ensure guests understand that men should not enter the female changing room. We would still consider returning, as the hotel has many good points, but the indoor pool management and changing room privacy really need to be addressed.
