I have to say I was a bit worried reading some of the reviews but I needn't have. The hotel is beautiful, spotlessly clean and has a very chilled vibe about it. As vegetarians we were worried there may not be enough options, the food was beautiful, great quality and lots of choice. The only criticism is the labelling, it would have been helpful if the food was labelled as vegetarian. The hotel has nightly entertainment again bringing a chilled vibe whilst you enjoy a few drinks. We had a deluxe sea view room which was beautiful. The swimming pools and sun terraces were great, always availability for sun beds and the pools were quiet. We had a wonderful stay here, the staff were always helpful and pleasant. I would definitely return.

“Little things let this hotel down.”

The hotel was great. Staff were pleasant and helpful but just the little things that let it down. Shower blew hot and cold and not much water pressure. The hotel was great. Staff were pleasant and helpful but just the little things that let it down. Shower blew hot and cold and not much water pressure. Breakfast in a morning was great however the evening meal was not enough choices. When you sit down your asked if you would like a drink. I have diabetes and on medication. I have to take this before having anything to eat. One night the waiter took the order from the table next to me and I was just ignored. Another night they took my order and missed the table next to me. Having said all that I had a fantastic week out would probably go back. It's just the attention to detail that needs a little work.

“Very clean and well looked after hotel / all inclusive let it down and misleading info on their website”

Lovely hotel . All inclusive not so all inclusive On arrival was late but bar was still open . Normally there is food to eat for late check in travellers at other hotels anyway . Lovely hotel . All inclusive not so all inclusive On arrival was late but bar was still open . Normally there is food to eat for late check in travellers at other hotels anyway . Nothing for this one sadly , the all inclusive is basic spirits beer and wine only , no cocktails or liquor or baileys included you have to pay extra for those . Never been a problem in any other all inclusive stay we’ve been on in other countries . The food was ok, fresh omelette on a morning staff very attentive . The coffee in the buffet restaurant is awful, it’s so strong like pure chicory. I would recommend buying a jar of coffee from the local shop and make your own . However the coffee in the pool bar is nice . Basic cereal and pastries and fresh fruit and yogurt. Lunch menu very limited to chips burgers pizza and some occasional meat and pasta . Pool snacks don’t start until 1530 and is on for one hour only. Again cocktails liquor and apple juice and ice lollies are to be paid for extra . You can get a bowl of ice cream if you want that included. Dinner the bog standard all inclusive. Meats pasta fish and salads and desserts. The tale restaurant is beautiful and you get €13 person off your bill if you dine there . The head waiter is amazing man with bald head sorry didn’t know his name he wore a blue jacket . He’s so kind and very good at his job . Our room was spotlessly clean and cleaned every day and beds made etc . Lifts , I think such a large hotel should have more than two lifts as you can wait around ten minutes to get the lift up or down if your on a top floor due to capacity of people using them . Close by to shops and bus stops and nice restaurants. Check out is 12 noon but you can stay for another two hours for €25 even though the website states €20 so maybe this needs to be amended as it’s misleading customers . Don’t forget your tourist tax on checking out . But overall a nice stay with good air con but gave me a bad cough some days .

Location was good, if you don’t mind walking 30-40 mins into Funchal. Something we didn’t mind but worth mentioning. Atmosphere was quiet, if you want a relaxing holiday where you don’t have a lot of activities then it is a great place. We expected a bit more, maybe daytime entertainment or small activities. The pool wasn’t great, it was very small and not very inviting, it was also very cold. The sun beds were quite uncomfortable, struggled to sit/lay on them for a long period of time. We expected more from 4 star. We went all inclusive and wish we had done bed and breakfast as the food options for lunch and dinner were limited and very much the same. We ate out a couple of times for something different. We also found the food was luke warm, especially beans at breakfast. We were disappointed with the food choices. We also felt an element of disapproval being all inclusive when we ordered drinks. They clearly prefer guests who pay as they go. Cocktails were not included. And limited drinks menu. We had to ask for water, and if it was before 9am and not sat in the buffet restaurant you had to wait!! The rooms were clean, but basic. Could do with a bit of freshening up. Overall, we did have a lovely week here, however we were disappointed with some of the elements with it being a 4 star. I do want to give a huge shoutout to Rezual Islam!! He was a waiter and was great, he always had a smile, remembered our drinks and didn’t make us feel inadequate being all inclusive.
