Super friendly and exceptionally helpful staff, especially those on the front desk. I was on a week break in Porto and the location was excellent. Couple minutes from the beach and 15 minute walk along the front to the port area where the street restaurants you see on tv are doing the BBQ fish. Two supermarkets within 100 yards {Lidl and a local Portuguese one}. Tea coffee facilities and fridge in room so just purchase tea, sugar and milk and have all the home comforts. Quiet hotel, very clean and near all amenities including all fast food establishments. Easy to get bus into Porto as the 500 and 502 stop less than 50 yards from hotel. Buses run on each route 4 or 5 times an hour from 6am till midnight . Pay Euro 2.5 per trip whether one or all stops on route. 500 great to get into Porto centre and 502 get to Republican Square { two stops from end } and can walk down hill through all Porto main sites. For tours I used the Yellow Tours and Experience Company {They were excellent} and the meeting point Greja da Lapa church is just behind the military building at the top of the square. Great breakfast in hotel and drink very reasonable price in the bar. There is a gym if into fitness and underground car parking. Although very central to everything and I had a front room never heard any street noise. Another advantage of being in Matosinhos is only 13 km from airport so a taxi from or to it is only around 25 Euro. The metro cost me nearly 10 Euro when arrived. In summary fantastic hotel, great staff and excellent location
