Firstly let me say i understand why I am writing the first English review. Nobody and I mean nobody in the hotel speaks English! If you cannot at least talk a basic Russian do not even think about it. My booking were done with a lady who spoke perfect english. i have no idea what happened to her as the staff do not even know who she is very strange. I arrived and was helped in all fine . Foyer ok nothing special. The guy who checked me in spoke zero english and informed me that only cash upfront is accepeted. I thought he was joking and my limited Russian vocab never helped. Turns out he was not and so i was directed to an autobank and ste off to draw cash. i eventually found one and got the cash and paid. Very akward even if you all spaeking the same language. Room was huge and is a kind of aparthotel. You can even buy the room. Strange again. anyhow it contains ok furnishing big bed with linen fro a not so bige bed. a few tables and chairs a mini safe etc. Bathroom is ok with plenty soaps, shampoos etc. Great view and nice balcony. Balcony is a bit wierd as there are no seperating walls of any kind. Therefore you cant leave the door open as anyone on the same floor could just walk in. As I said wierd. However Russians are a lot more honest than most and petty thieving is not at all common. Construction of the room also surprised me. Its all dry wall everything! The ceiling is vinyl. It is an exercise in low cost building. All in all though the room is ok. Servicing was also done on a when we can basis any time from 11AM to 6PM a bit unnerving. In fact one day my room was not serviced at all. I asked and was told in Russian something about no staff. Starnge, I asked for a new bath towel and was given 3 hand towels due to no available bath towels. Breakfast was nothing special just about adequate. I liked the coffee even though I see one of the russian reviews said they did not. The restaurant staff or more helpful than the rest of the staff. Swimming pool is small but nice recliners available. Just help yourself dont even ask! The beach is stony even for sochi better to wal down the beach front as there are less stony ones. All in all for the money I think it was ok and I did enjoy my stay despite my revue sounding negative. i feel it is a very Russian place catering for Russian tourists though. Go try if you can speak a little Russian. Sochi is a nice place but not much English at all anywhere.
