Great location, 30 minute transfer from Malaga airport. Bars, restaurants, the beach and the marina ideally situated within walking distance, alot of looky looky guys about but they never bothered us, a polite no and they walk on. Pool games during the day i.e water polo, aqua dance etc all to keep adults and kids entertained. There is an entertainment room next to reception if you fancy a game of pool, a few shots at basketball or testing the strength of your shots at football. Jet 2 rep was always on hand to help if needed, next to reception. Night time entertainment is varied, decent acts like singing and acrobats aswell as the World Cup Matches shown. Rooms are great and spacious, cleaned daily by hardworking maids, lifts available for the rooms on higher floors. Food is superb 10/10, different foods for different tastes, you should never go hungry, hardworking staff making sure there is always of plenty of food, they also clear and clean the tables as soon as you are finished your meal. The hotel is spotless due to the hardworking staff, most are there from early morning til late at night. There are 4 pools, a small baby pool, a regular pool, a pool for small kids with pirate ships etc and a big pool with great slides, we were here 7 days and never got bored. The only thing is if you want a sunbed up at the slides or one at the regular pool you would need to queue from 9am until it opens at 10, we never really bothered with them, we got beds round the side from 9 no problem and just walked back and forward from the pools. There is a snackbar open from 12-6 next to the regular pool if you don't fancy going down to the restaurant to eat for lunch. The bars are fully manned all day, one bar at the regular pool and one bar up at the pirate ships. The drinks are per token during the day and you are given the tokens at check-in. We never found a fault with anyone or anything at this hotel, we had a great holiday. I would ignore any negative review and go see for yourself, great value for money, we would go back!

We’ve had a brilliant week at Los Patos. Exactly what my family needed. We spent most days at the pool and the kids were up and down the slides like there was no tomorrow. We were all inclusive- snack bar was good- always hot and fresh. The toasted sandwiches were delicious. We arrived after dinner finished, but the hotel had kept a cold selection aside for us to have which was very welcomed! Drinks were okay, the alcohol content seemed minimal though but they tasted good. The entertainment wasn’t really our style, instead our kids played in the park and with a football at night while we had a drink with friends. Staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. We definitely would come back!

The hotel itself was clean, and we had no complaints about the rooms, cleaning, or the food. The location is also okay, and overall the facilities were decent. The kids enjoyed the holiday. Unfortunately, the main thing that let the hotel down was the service and the constant queuing. With the exception of the lady at the snack bar, we found a lot of the bar staff to be very grumpy and unfriendly. On one occasion, I tried to explain to Juan, the jefe de bar, that there were six of us, but he was still rude and unhelpful. This was disappointing and made the bar experience feel awkward rather than relaxed. You seem to spend a huge amount of time queuing, both at the bar and first thing in the morning for sun loungers. At times it honestly felt more like being treated as cattle than guests. There is also a strict rule of only two drinks per person at a time, and staff will point or tap the sign quite rudely if you ask for more. If you are travelling with a larger family, be prepared to spend a lot of your evening queuing just to get a round of drinks. Considering it was quite expensive, I expected a better overall experience. It is a shame, because there were good points about the hotel, but the attitude at the bar, the constant queues, and the sun lounger situation would put us off returning.
