Just returned from 1 week at holiday village. The hotel itself is slightly dated and needs some repairs but in all we found it be to very clean. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which has 2 double beds pushed together with a sofa bed in the lounge. Sofa bed was looking a bit worse for wear with a tear on the front but our 2 kids are small enough to share with us so we didnt need to use it. There was a little kitchen area with a good sized fridge which was very handy. Room was a decent size and clean. The entertainment team are brilliant and all the staff were great with the kids. My son accidently dropped a glass in the restaurant and the staff were quick to reassure him and cheer him up, very sweet. The food is mediocre, nothing to scream and shout about but kids options are good. Restaurant was clean, always staff going round to clean the sides off. Pool area and entertainment is great. They have fake grass around the pool which is great as always found kids go flying when its tiled. The grass does get very hot in the sun but no different from tiles, we thought the fake grass was a great idea. Our biggest frustration was the LIFTS! You need to give youself 5-10 minutes extra to get places, they take ages to come and when they do come they are packed. Also once you are inside if you think you will go to the floor you have pressed think again you will go up, down all over before you get to your floor. Location of the of the hotel is good, bus stop right outside the hotel. We used it once and decided with 2 small children and a buggy in tow it wasn't the best for us. Local taxi service is relatively cheap out there, cheaper then Uber most of the time. Roughly €12 to travel into either town. Hotel is kid friendly and would recommend.

Overall, I would rate Holiday Village 4 out of 5 stars. The staff were brilliant throughout our stay and were always attentive to detail. The entertainment team also did an excellent job, working hard to involve everyone and creating a fun atmosphere for both adults and children. The pool area was great, with plenty of space and no real rush for sunbeds, which made for a much more relaxing experience. The main downside was the room, which felt quite dated and is definitely in need of some TLC and refurbishment. Unfortunately, the biggest letdown was the food. Although there was a lot of variety available, most of it was quite bland and lacked flavour. There were plenty of options to choose from, but very little stood out in terms of taste. Despite the issues with the room and food, the fantastic staff, entertainment team, and pool facilities made for an enjoyable holiday overall.

“Fabulous for families”

Stayed with our daughter and 2 boys, lots of activities for children and the entertainment staff are excellent shout out to Beth, Joao , Adam and Chloe always full of energy and enthusiasm. Stayed with our daughter and 2 boys, lots of activities for children and the entertainment staff are excellent shout out to Beth, Joao , Adam and Chloe always full of energy and enthusiasm. Limited drinks on all inclusive but again enough for us. The rooms are spacious and clean. Food plentiful and lots of good choices, we never had to wait for a table and it was half term! The snack bar is good if you miss breakfast or lunch too. The water park was great although it would have been good to know you have to pay for the rings for the slides although you get some of the money back. Most places it’s just a refundable deposit.Recommend the 2 hr boat trip to see the Dolphins my boys loved it and saw some including young ones. All in all a great holiday.

A very good hotel for children with excellent activities and great animation staff. We had a suite which was superb in every way. Overall food quality was good though some could have been hotter. The egg station lady was grumpy never smiled and cooked what she wanted (mostly fried eggs) not what you wanted. The children’s pools were very cold but the pool at holiday village where we stayed was fine.. Main gripe was having to pay for things which should have been included in the AI package e.g. children’s ice creams and the rubber rings to use the log flume(charged at €17/day). Beware, on our final day we checked out at 12.00 but our taxi was at 13.00 so we checked if we could still use the AI - the answer was no and just to make sure we didn’t the receptionist insisted on removing our wrist bands PENNY PINCHING NONSENSE!! Would we return NO
