We had an amazing week here. Never the same food each night for the whole week which was amazing and different countries themed nights. Kids entertainment was also great in English and spanish and they always had lots of time for the kids. This is just one massive shout out to the amazing staff member German Faith from the first night to the last she was so accommodating and lovely. Always great with our kids and always had the biggest smile on her face. Thankyou so much for your hospitality!

Not sure where to even start. An absolutely fantastic week and would 100% love to return to this hotel or if not as we like to explore other places another Holiday Village. It’s a super busy hotel so not normally what we go for however with a now 1 and 1/2 yr old we needed to keep him occupied and it certainly did that. Check in was a little slow only because there were lots checking in at once but staff were efficient. Great drinks choice with plenty of options and places to help yourself plus a good bar service. Food was a little average in the buffet restaurants but still nice. Would have been nice to see a bit more variation like themed nights etc. but we didn’t seem to pick up on that. Although the buffet could be busy the staff were amazing at getting you at les and we never waited for more than a few minutes even at the busiest times. We ate at the burger restaurant which was really nice and good to get table service. We didn’t eat at the Italian as we like to go out a lot however it looked great as we went past. Cups as people mention were never an issue but we also took thermo cooling type bottles for soft drinks which worked a treat. Great to have water available everywhere too. Shop onsite was fantastic more than I thought they would have and more than you should need. Now for the entertainment/staff. This is what made the holiday. There was something to do all the time for all ages really. Although it was a big busy hotel the entertainment team made an effort to come and speak to you and make it more personal if wanted. The performances were like nothing we’ve seen in a hotel before, not like your cringey normal entertainment. I never thought we would but we put our child in the crèche and he absolutely loved it. Well worth the money. A special mention to Faith and team who was simply brilliant with Arthur even after meeting her once he was very excited to see her again and went in for a hug. I couldn’t name the entertainment team personally as they were all simply amazing!!!! Sam was lovely to talk to as well as an amazing performer. Pool facilities are really good never a fight for sunbeds or umbrellas. Water park was brilliant for all ages however the splash pad was a bit run down and ripped up so needed a revamp. The rooms were brilliant, fantastic size, beds were actually super comfy, very handy to have somewhat of a kitchen. The bathroom just had a few small faults in it that would have been fixed and there wasn’t a clothes hanger on the balcony but apart from that no complaints. Only thing is it’s a short taxi or bus ride away to anywhere with lots of bars and restaurants but that’s only because we go out a lot. There’s a few beach bars within a 20 min walk maybe. Don’t listen to the bad reviews we had the best week and would love to come again.

Just retuned from my 10th visit to Holiday Village Costa Del Sol and cannot big up this hotel enough. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left nothing was too much trouble. The staff are and always have been amazing, especially as I have a disabled son, they always recognise us and greet us with smiles and happiness. The rooms are always spotless and cleaned daily, the maids do an amazing job, the hotel is spotless and beautiful as are the facilities. My son loves the pools both at the hotel and over the bridge at the waterpark. The hotel is amazing for children creating an energetic and lively atmosphere, especially during the entertainment of an evening, yet despite this there is never an excessive amount of noise and the rooms can block out a lot of the sound omit this wasn’t your thing. The restaurant is stunning and offers a wide variety of food to get stuck into. With only a short transfer from Malaga airport, makes the location perfect. Overall this hotel is amazing value for money and worth every penny in my opinion. Holiday World Village and Meliá, I want to give a huge shout out to Alejandro in the restaurant. Literally this man needs to be treasured. He is the loveliest, kindest, most welcoming man I have ever met. Always welcoming with open arms and a smile. He is amazing with my son, who absolutely adores him also. But not just with myself, but also with other guests. Everyone comments on how lovely he is as he just makes an effort with everyone. With amazing staff like Alejandro, I know we will keep returning year after year. He is a real credit to Meliá and Holiday village. Please pass on my commendations to him and all your wonderful staff and thank them for all their amazing hard work and will be seeing you all next year for our next visit.

“Lovely Hotel - Don’t be put off by bad reviews”

We stayed at Holiday Village Costa del Sol for four nights with our 17-year-old daughter and, before arriving, were a little dubious as the hotel seemed to be aimed mainly at families with younger children. We needn’t have worried! From the moment we arrived we were impressed. The reception area is spacious, clean and welcoming, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 541 which had beautiful views and was spotlessly clean. The balcony was lovely and spacious, although it could do with a bit of a tidy up – the chairs were quite worn and someone had clearly tried to carve their name into the plaster. Nothing that affected our stay, though. After checking in we headed straight to the pool and had lunch at the Beach Club. There was plenty of choice and the food was very nice. That evening there was an excellent singer performing in the main bar. We preferred spending our evenings there as drinks are served in proper glasses and the rosé wine was particularly nice. We also tried the Irish Bar but quickly returned to the main bar as we found it rather dark, with no noticeable air conditioning, and the drinks weren’t quite as good. Breakfast offered something for everyone. The eggs were lovely and the hash browns deserve a special mention! We actually preferred lunch in the main restaurant to the Beach Club, with its great selection of salads, cheeses and fresh bread. There is also a snack area next to the restaurant serving hot dogs, burgers and pizza. I have read comments about groups of school children at the Beach Club, this is very true and not ideal. I wanted to go in the small pool that has the plastic sunbeds in the pool however I couldn’t go in because there were groups of school children in there. Also the sunbeds aren’t as comfy at the Beach Club so we stayed at the main pool. We especially enjoyed our final evening (Wednesday), when chicken kebabs were on the menu – they were delicious. Although we were only there for four nights, we ate out on two evenings, visiting Benalmádena Pueblo one night and Fuengirola the other. This wasn’t because the food at the hotel wasn’t good, we simply wanted to explore the area. One thing that really made me laugh was the daily 10am dash for the sunbeds! It seemed rather pointless, as there were always plenty available throughout the day, even after the rush. Overall, we had a lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Don’t be put off if you’re travelling with older children – we found it to be a fantastic hotel with friendly staff, good food and a relaxed atmosphere.
