I cannot fault this hotel at all. Heard a few negative reviews about the food and in my opinion it’s the best I’ve ever had at a AI hotel. The theme nights were lovely and the Asian night was brilliant with fresh sushi made in front of you. The breakfasts was outstanding. From Greek yogurt to fry up with proper pork sausages which u never usually get. Drinks were ok cruzcampo on Tap which is my fav. Cocktails r pre made so not the best but you get that in most hotels. Snacks by the pool is ok and staff are very friendly. Only thing I struggled with is the sunbeds have no movement in them So if u want to read a book It’s a bit difficult. Splash pool Very good and rooms Was so Much better than I thought. Beds very comfy but I like hard mattresses. And loads of room. I would say pound for pound best hotel I’ve stayed In only prob is you need to get a taxi to go anywhere but I knew this prior to booking but taxi quite reasonable and 13-16 euro each way. Keep up the good work hotel riwo

Lovely 10 night stay in a Sky suite, the Sky suite was spacious with a separate kitchen & sitting room. Side balcony & then large balcony with shower, egg chair, lounges, chairs & coffee table, from the large balcony we had sea views. The suite was kept spotless by the housekeeping team. We had free use of the spa with us staying in a select suite, the pool & sauna were lovely. A nice touch was the reserved sitting in the buffet restaurant, my only recommendation to the hotel for this separate area is to look at the lighting it's far too bright. The food was good at breakfast & lunch, but I feel the evening buffet could be better, we found it sometimes very greasy in the evening. The buffet has a theme each evening, It would be good to see at the start of your holiday which theme is which night, so you can plan ahead. One particular member of staff in the restaurant at breakfast always made us so welcome, unfortunately I didn't get her name. Also thank you to the chef who cooked me a fresh mushroom omelette every morning. We found all the staff throughout the hotel extremely friendly. The outside pool area is lovely & the select reserved area is a great plus point. Overall we had a great holiday & we have booked a Sky suite again for our return in October, hopefully we will be allocated a Sky suite on the 4th floor again. Thank you team Rwio

I will always give a honest review, we have travelled all over the world, so in my opinion I have seen a lot of hotel's. 1 , arrived only to be greeted by abrupt reception, 2,never had this before at a all inclusive hotel, we were given a plastic token, you handed it in at the bar and was given a plastic tumbler, if you loose your token or leave the tumbler, you have to get another token, cost one euro ,without the token or the tumbler you can't get a drink. 3,we paid for a safe in the room ,we reported it not working, two days later a maintenance man asked use where the key was,only to find out you need a key to switch it on,down to reception asked when we paid for the safe why weren't we given a key, a shrug of the shoulders was the answer. 4, ingrenral all the other staff in the hotel were very good ,the housekeeping was good and the room although dated was kept clean. 5. Our shower wasn't working properly you could only get cold water ,then when it was suppose to be fixed ,you could get red hot water coming out, dangerous.. the beds were comfortable but if you use the put you up in the lounge you get sheets and what looked like old army blankets. 6.pool towels are provided, we went to change them after three days, only to be told if we swapped the towels we had to pay for fresh towels. 7.i am not a person who wants English food when aboard ,but in over fifty years of travelling i have never seen so much food wasted, or left on plates. 8, if you look at the travel brochures you get the idea you can use the other hotels. A couple when one day to one of the other hotels only to be told if they wanted to eat there the cost was thirty one euros per adult and eighteen euros per child. 9.bars two number,one by the pool shuts at 7 and one in the hotel. No other bars 10. Coffee machine only available at breakfast. Then if you want a coffee with your lunch you have to go to the pool bar for it. 11,crazy golf would be better playing on a building site, needs maintenance. 12 ,forget the opening hours shown in the hotel shop that's hit and miss. 13 the pool sunbeds are plenty but again dated and in need of a clean, the lifeguard was very good, the pool area is clean and tidy the pools are great for Kids you get one type of beer anything else you pay for. The pool bar food did not change hot dogs hamburger chicken nuggets chips. Salad. 13 ,don't think about walking anywhere you need to be a mountain goat, a young family when out one day and they words not mine it nearly killed me pushing the bugger up that hill. 14. we paid for our grandkids and they have travelled all over the world with us. Not one of them enjoyed the food and there was five of them. I could go on but I think you can see from my comments. Not a place I would recommend. Shame

This was a 1 week all inclusive stay for a couple with a 2.5 year old and our friend. We had a junior suite, room 123 travel dates 4th - 11th June. First the positives! Short transfer to the hotel which is high on my list of positives because of the aforementioned 2.5 year old. Hotel is aesthetically pleasing, the reception area is more like you’d expect from a 5*, nicely decorated, egg chairs, a makeshift ‘lake’ in the middle with glass lifts either side and giraffe’s and flamingos (fake) in the lake which our daughter loved. Bar area is very modern and has a secure outside area with a park, nice seating, and 2 pool tables. Staff are lovely, a particular shout out to the wait staff and maitre’d who were all polite, friendly and lovely all week. The chef (female) who worked there over the Thursday-Sunday period was also lovely. I have a nut allergy and all staff were very helpful and you can tell allergies are taken very seriously. Reception staff were also helpful and friendly. The room was clean and the balcony is more of a large terrace with plenty of space. Splash park is brilliant, the shuttle bus is great but the walk up and down the hill is really not that bad at all if you miss/dont want to take the bus. Beach is like a ten minute walk away and there’s a ramp further on from the steps if you have a pram. The snack bar in the splash park is fantastic it’s more like another buffet restaurant than what I would describe as a snack bar. Plenty of different pools and slide options for varying ages of children. Entertainment at the holiday village is great if you’ve got kids their mini disco is much earlier than the other two hotels and they have more child centred entertainment such a Disney night (although it’s in Spanish). We had no issue with the token system for cups it keeps the place tidy and reduces rubbish and I’ve had it at other hotels I’ve stayed at. The shop sells just about anything and really is not a bad price, what you can’t get at the RIWO you can get at the Polynesia. Now the negatives: The restaurant is completely indoors the ‘outside’ is still inside just beside the lake. I prefer to eat outside. The entertainment was also inside until the 8th at this hotel and the Polynesia but village is outdoors. It’s also right beside the pool once outside which is a bit of a nightmare with littles. We had a few issues with the key, I love the idea of it being built into your wristbands but it did take a few tries to get it working which is not ideal when you’ve got your hands full and young children. The safe didn’t work on the first night and needed repairing but it was repaired promptly. The bathroom and patio door handles were broken but again were repaired although I did have to report them twice before repair happened. I would have liked to use the indoor pool for exercise but was put off by the insistence that swimming caps must be bought and worn. Pool is fine just not very small child friendly. Splash park is better for littles. The food was the biggest let down, different variations of the same greasy stuff coated in oil every night. I pretty much lived off pasta and chips all week. This is honestly what lets the hotel down and could do with huge improvement. But the staff down there as mentioned before are lovely and can’t be faulted. Insects - the balconies are full of ants and we sometimes got them in our room. I mean the balcony was literally swarming with the tiny ones and sometimes big huge ones too. There is no washing line for drying clothes on the balcony and I was resistant to hang over the wall due to the ants. The beds are like rocks I didn’t sleep at all the last two nights. A 3.5* stay overall I would say.
