We were for a weekend in September. The location was quiet and there was no noise in the hotel either. The staff was friendly and our bathroom was clean and well illuminated (the door did not close properly though). This hotel has no parking, it was a bit difficult to find a free space in a nearby street, but it was possible. The garden is beautiful, but the pool is rather small (we did not swim as there were a lot of people there already).

“Good, not quite great”

As an Englishman going to Spain, I wasn't expecting pure British food and hosts. This spot is quite out of the way and played host to multiple Spanish groups, either OAPs or College students during my one week stay. The rooms were nice, if a little basic, the only option available to us was twin beds, which was a little worrying. The bathrooms were clean and basic, but not luxury, they were cleaned daily and the towels were cleaned too. The only major grouch was that the rooms lacked any soundproofing, and with the Spanish who stayed up late and played loud music this proved to be a minor problem. Some of the staff spoke English which was a welcome surprise. The food was some authentic Spanish but there was also chips available, the salad was serve yourself and while the mealtimes were late, that is to be expected. Overall our trip was nice, however, as we visited in Easter the pool was not in use, which was a shame, but, yet again, to be expected.

I stayed at the Campomar last week during 2 nights while attending a conference at the University of Cadiz. All hotels inside the island of Cadiz were very expensive and few had disponibility. I found this little hotel and was worried because of the reviews that were not very good. I made a good option: It is 15 minutes out of Cadiz but you can find nice places to eat in the nearby beach (Valdelagrana) or at Puerto Santa Maria (5 minutes drive). The hotel is clean, my rooms was very quite, looking back to the garden of a neighbor property, and the price I got for 2 nights for 2 included breakfast was excelent. 95 euros!. The breakfast is good, the reception desk personal very kind. In conclusion: if you have a car and don´t want to spend to much money Campomar is an excelent option!

“You get what you paid for.”

Just a simple hotel. Clean,Cheap with nice service and staff. They are well located near the beach and some shops. Recomend it if you just want a simple hotel and dont want to spend to much. The pool is small bit as far as i was able to understand is enough for the hotel.
