Honest review. Please read!!!! Jet 2 package holiday. This is a 4 star holiday . We have stayed at 3 4 and 5 stars and it's really not difficult to know the difference. The main reason for me writing a review is due to other English families moaning about there being nothing to eat . Days and days of them going to see the jet2 rep and management at reception. Myself , wife , children aged 7 and 2 had no issues with the food . Please see photos of the buffet selection. At breakfast there was everything you could imagine , hot fry ups , yogurts ,cold meats and cheeses , fresh bread , fruit whole and sliced. Pastries, pancakes, donuts. Lunch again fresh bread, a full selection of plain salads and compound salads , hot options with protein and carbs, selection of vegetables. Dessert counter full of what I can only describe as standard all inclusive desserts. You know what I mean. Evening meal was the same as lunch, a large selection of freshly cooked meat and fish from the grill at the far end of the restaurant. Next to a pizza oven serving fresh Sliced pizza. 2 different types of pasta were always available with one meat and one vegetarian sauces. All the food was tasty, which also had accompaniments such as dressings and sauces. My favourite the Chimichurri. Other points to mention , drinks are standard, breakfast coffee machine , juice machine . Lunch and dinner always large glass bottles of water to help yourself to from the chillers, beer on tap to help yourself and also wine from the bottle. Kids drinks fizzy pop stations. The restaurant is air conditioned but does get extremely busy due to the size of the hotel. Food is topped up by staff to a very high standard. There is seating area outside also to dine. The is a food truck for pool food which serves burgers hot dogs toasties chicken nuggets and chips donuts etc. Again honest review burgers were poor , I didn't eat mine but of you don't want to go to lunch the kids have this as a option. There was a large amount of flies around the food truck , not a complaint , unsure what the hotel could do to prevent this. 2 bars were serving from 11am-11pm all inclusive drinks. (Breakfast closed at 10:30am) so technically only 30 minutes without a drink. Both bars (inside and poolside) served a section of ice creams on the all inclusive these were of good standard Pools opened at 10am. Cleaning, the place couldn't of been cleaner. Beds made daily and towels changed if you left them in a pile. Staff , were unbelievable. Worked tirelessly, 2 people's always on each bar to cope with ques. Friendly enough. I heard the previously mentioned couple's complaints to jet 2 rep reguarding the sausages (not being English sausages), they had a variety of sausages on the buffet throughout our stay, chorizo ones , tinned hot dog ones which I can't stand but my son likes and pork sausages which I would describe as English. (See photo) To anyone who wants a all inclusive with the kids with slides and a variety of pools and are not wanting 5 star luxury you will be absolutely fine . Please note this review doesn't include anything about the area, there isn't alot to do if you want to look round shops but the water park is no more than 10 minutes in a Taxi. The beach is shingle not sand. Hotel is 30 minutes from Almeria airport. Overall a top week away as a package holiday with Jet2, no complaints from us 4. Ages 35,34,7&2.

Good for a family holiday, the pool area is good although slightly run down, the beach is next to the hotel, its not sandy but the water is very clear and full of fish if you have your goggles on. Good for a family holiday, the pool area is good although slightly run down, the beach is next to the hotel, its not sandy but the water is very clear and full of fish if you have your goggles on. The food in the restaurant is very average and very busy but this is a big hotel so I can appreciate the complexity of providing for also many families, the rooms really are quite nice and probably the thing about the hotel. All in all we enjoyed our stay and I think its good value for money considering it was one of the cheaper options when we booked

Family of 4 from the UK, kids aged 3 and 6. When we arrived the reception was heaving, this was because the hotel accepts day trippers who were basically in the way of actual guests. We got the apartment straight away though. The apartment is massive and we couldn't fault it. Had everything we needed and please note the apartments are the only quiet rooms in the entire complex. Pools are brilliant no issues, the bins are also full and it can get dirty and busy but they are cleaned. Spanish kids are running everything and it can get crazy from time to time. Restaurant is utter chaos at all times. Its just a shambles in terms of layout, its a scrum. Not relaxing and plates are hardly ever cleared. We quite liked the food we always found something. The food truck is good, kids enjoyed that. For all inclusive the drinks are poor. 3 cocktails, no bottled beer and paper cups. Its a very Spanish hotel, and I can speak some Spanish but we never felt included or properly welcomed at any point. Towels are down before 9 o clock every morning. Entertainment for our kids is far too late, 9.30pm. Surrounding area is pleasant we walked to the mall and aquarium and there are a few shops. Its a 15 min walk to the marina. We had a nice holiday but we wont be returning.

We recently stayed at Alegria Colonial Mar Aquafun as a family and, overall, we had a pleasant holiday and made some lovely memories together. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. We requested a cot for our baby before arrival, and it was brought to our room without any issues, which we really appreciated. The pool and slides were good and kept the children entertained, and the surrounding pool area was nice enough to relax in. The drinks from the bar were surprisingly strong, although the all-inclusive cocktail menu only offered three choices. Unfortunately, there were several areas where the hotel fell short of what we expected from a four-star all-inclusive. The food was quite repetitive throughout the week and was often lukewarm and oily. While there was always something to eat, it could definitely be improved. The all-inclusive service was also disappointing. It doesn't start until 11:00 am and finishes promptly at 11:00 pm. Even though the World Cup was on during our stay, the bar still closed at 11:00 pm, which felt like a missed opportunity for guests wanting to watch the matches. We were also disappointed that the snack bar closed at 7:00 pm despite information stating it should remain open until 11:00 pm. One morning at around 7:00 am, a member of our family asked reception for some drinking water and was told they either had to buy it from the vending machine or wait until 11:00 am for the all-inclusive bar to open. For an all-inclusive hotel, especially with families staying there, this was quite disappointing. Another thing worth mentioning is that the hotel advertises a volleyball court, but there isn't one. Also, while it is advertised as beachfront, the beach is a public beach directly outside the hotel rather than a private hotel beach, which could be a little misleading depending on your expectations. The entertainment team worked hard, but the mini disco didn't start until 9:30 pm and ran until 10:30 pm, which is very late for young children. The main evening entertainment then continued until 11:00 pm. Overall, we genuinely had a nice family holiday and enjoyed our stay, mainly because of the clean rooms, friendly atmosphere, and time spent together. However, based on our experience, we don't feel this is a true four-star all-inclusive hotel. We'd personally rate it closer to a three-star standard. With a few improvements to the food, all-inclusive service, and advertised facilities, it could offer a much better experience
