We had an amazing stay at Mediterraneo Bay Hotel & Resort and would definitely recommend it! The hotel’s location is perfect, right on the beach, making it easy to enjoy the sea whenever you want. There are plenty of swimming pools for children, fantastic entertainment activities, and the food is absolutely delicious. The buffet offers a huge variety, so everyone can find something they love. The staff are also incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. We originally booked a Royal Suite but decided to upgrade to a room with direct pool access, and it was the best decision! The room was beautiful, and the pool was fantastic—perfect for both families with children and couples looking to relax. The housekeeping team did an excellent job every day, keeping the room spotless and smelling fresh. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

I read a lot of negative reviews about this hotel before I left. So much so that I considered changing my hotel to another one. I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, you can find small shortcomings in the rooms or in the pool, but it's really not a reason to waste your vacation. First of all, it is clean, smells beautiful, the rooms are dutifully cleaned in the same way as swimming pools or public bathrooms. I did not encounter any unpleasant service, but I was also understanding in communicating in English. The only thing I can get to is food. In truth, it is tasty but very monotonous and not varied at all, breakfast and snacks for 7 days were identical every day. Plus, the availability of ice cream or chips. I would generally consider coming to this place again.

“3 Star Not 4 and NO English entertainment”

As a couple, we planned to meet family in this hotel for 3 nights at the back end of their holiday, we were really excited as this was a surprise booking! On arrival, we were told as we were only staying for 3 nights that we couldnt have all inclusive as we were only stopping for 3 nights, it is a minimum of 4 nights for all inclusive (seems daft really as they could have charged per day and made more money probably) so we carried out our stay on a bed and breakfast booking. Evening meal was charged at 25 Euro's per meal, so we ate out. My daughter (8) tried to get up on stage several times to sing and join in the fun, as soon as they heard she was English, she was ignored and they chose a Spanish child instead. This happened during the day and for the Magic Man in the evening. Now I completely understand, we dont know any Spanish but i would have thought they would at least learn some English with it being an International Hotel - so yes i would say 95% of the shows/ dancers/ evening entertainment is ALL in Spanish. No water left in the room at all, then charged 2 Euro's per small bottle, which i felt was a bit steap so off to the supermarket we went (we werent too bothered about this) but on the day we were leaving, we didnt know the shower room had to be booked out, or that later checkout wasnt possible, so we had a full day around the pool in suncream etc and couldnt shower, not the end of the world i know but annoying! So word of warning, book the shower room early on your departure day. We didnt stay for any of the evening entertainment so if you head right out of the complex, there is some arcades for children which ours loved and to the left of the complex are a couple of nice eateries and bars (Aloha and Popeye). Sadly i wouldnt return to this hotel, i would say its 3 Star not 4, its not the cleanest as the pool's werent cleaned often and the room's were very basic! I would however look at travelling to Almeria again as its lovely, just not this hotel. If you speak Spanish then marvellous but otherwise i wouldnt bother wasting your money.

I thought I’d leave a fair review based on the horror stories that are on here as well as the 5* reviews, it’s somewhere in the middle. My score is reflective of this being a supposed 4* which I think 3/5 is fair. If they had advertised as 3* and I’d have paid as such, it would have been higher. Cons The first 2 days of our stay the pool was filthy. Dead flies, bees, leaves it appeared that the filter system couldn’t keep up with supply of mess, which was mainly from nature. I did speak to the rep who fed back to the manager and from day 3 onwards the pool was much cleaner. There was no bottled water in the room, which I was quite surprised for a 4* equivalent hotels in Tukey and Egypt seem to stretch to a full mini bar included, bottled water was a paid service from the shop. We used jet2 to book with a filter of aqua park - this had 4 slides which were probably 1 second in duration. This was certainly not an aqua park, it was 4 tiny slides. A lot of advertised services are behind a paywall, with access to the gym €5 and access to the indoor pool €6 which wasn’t very clear on Jet2 website. Minor things like strength of the plastic cups used for the drinks, ice lollies being chargeable and some of the staff looked like they’d had enough, but to be fair some also had a welcoming smile despite servicing you for breakfast, dinner and tea. Pro I found the food good. We had 2 kids that are fussy eaters but ate all holiday, which they certainly did not in Turkey etc. whilst it was a bit repetitive, it was nice and the grill ala cart was lovely. Rooms were spacious and tidy - although our balcony was narrow and had no chairs to sit on. The lobby, reception and rooms were generally very clean, outside toilets kept tidy etc. Neither here nor in here. Being from Britain - the food and entertainment times are not suited to young British families (this is fine as we’re abroad and should adapt to local culture) just some advice if you have children as evening meal doesn’t start until 1930 and some of the shows were as late as 2230 for the children. We were positioned in a way which was exposed to the adjacent hotel - which had an awful karaoke every couple of nights which went onto exactly midnight. They did have a football pitch next door, which we were envious of. So all in all - paying nearly £4000 for this for a week wasn’t worth it at all. Had I paid less and advertised as 3* my expectations would have been different, but value for money compared to equivalent holidays in Turkey or Eygpt is miles off.
