“Lovely hotel”

Lovely hotel. Very modern with chill out areas within the hotel, lovely and clean, rooms were modern with wonderful sea views. Great for families.

We had a great time on our holiday, the hotel has a lot of positives and of course areas of improvement but ultimately it did not take away from the fun we had. Highlights: - Children’s pool, great slides and ideal depth (3 year old & 10 month old) - Modern and welcoming reception area - Comfortable beds - Rooms clean and good size we are a family of 4 - Buffet food always fresh and good selection, meats and salad, pasta and pizzas, paella and breads - Breakfast good, omelette and eggs section always busy but fast moving. Coffee & Juices available - Water always available, we took our own flasks - Bus stop nearby (330 & 999) short journey into town unless you walk for around 30 mins along beach - Mercado & Aldi within 1km walk Areas to improve: - More toilets needed at bar & restaurant - Option to use both À la Carte during stay - Rooms need an upgrade, fairly dated - During the weekend it was absolutely packed with local customers, far too packed, pool area was too busy and restaurant long queues (we went out during the weekend)

We recently stayed at Mediterraneo Bay and unfortunately came away feeling quite disappointed overall. Our holiday didn't get off to a great start. Due to travel delays, we arrived around six hours later than expected. After a long journey, we were disappointed that there was no offer of food or even bottled water on arrival, with the only option being a vending machine. The food itself had enough variety to cater for both adults and children, but it became very repetitive throughout the week. Meals were often only lukewarm and many of the meat options were quite fatty. Drinks were usually taken when you first sat down in the restaurant, but they were rarely replenished during the meal. The rooms were adequate but lacked basic facilities you would expect from a hotel of this standard. There were no tea or coffee making facilities and the fridge was not stocked with any drinks. One of the biggest frustrations was the sunbed situation. Although notices clearly stated that reserving sunbeds was not allowed, guests regularly did so without any intervention from staff. The highlight of the hotel was definitely the pool area. There was a fantastic choice of pools and plenty to keep children entertained throughout the day. However, the snack/grill bar offered a very limited choice at lunchtime and there was only one outdoor bar serving drinks, which resulted in long queues at peak times. Outside the hotel, there wasn't a great deal to do. The surrounding area lacks shops, restaurants and attractions, so you are quite reliant on the hotel facilities. Evening entertainment was also underwhelming. The mini disco was strangely scheduled before the restaurant even opened, making it awkward for families. Afterwards, entertainment mainly consisted of Spanish singers, which didn't offer much variety. The violinist, however, was absolutely fantastic and was one of the standout parts of our stay. The biggest issue was the huge influx of Spanish weekend guests, which appeared to overwhelm the hotel's facilities. Meal times became extremely frustrating, with queues regularly exceeding 20 minutes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. What should have been a relaxing all-inclusive holiday often felt like standing in line at a busy transport hub. This was especially difficult when travelling with young children. The atmosphere around the hotel also changed dramatically at weekends. The pool area became crowded and uncomfortable, with little consideration shown for other guests. Finding a sunbed was difficult, noise levels increased significantly, and the overall environment felt far less relaxing than during the quieter periods of our stay. We also encountered a level of rudeness from some guests that detracted from the holiday experience. There seemed to be very little respect for queues, personal space, or shared facilities, which created an unpleasant atmosphere throughout the hotel. While the hotel itself has potential and some positive features, the management needs to address how it handles peak weekend occupancy. The combination of long waits for food, overcrowding, and the inconsiderate behaviour we experienced meant that this was not the relaxing holiday we had hoped for. Overall, while the pool facilities were excellent and there were some positive aspects to the stay, the poor service, overcrowding, repetitive food, lack of facilities and weekend chaos mean that we would not choose to return.
