“Absolutely outstanding hotel - highly recommended”

Outstanding place, sophistiacted rooms and an absolutely caring, attentive and lovely staff. It has been my second time here and I would always come back to such a wonderful hotel.

I really enjoyed the massage by Patricia at the spa, and the friendly and professional Alessia at the front desk. Patricia‘s massage was top-notch. Both of them were very helpful and created a relaxing atmosphere.

We stayed a few days recently - we paid to upgrade which we are glad we did. Some negatives to be aware of : if you do not have a Villa style room with a pool then you are limited to the hotel pool(s) they are all in the same place - in the design it was decided not to have a separate kids or adults pool it seems. So you are stuck in the main pool area with ''disco music'' from morning till night - note this music can be heard from any balcony on the Pool side rooms. If you want to read quietly and relax in the sun, it can be somewhat challenging as there are no other places to sit. The choices of restuarants are quite limited eg the same place where breakfast is served or a Michelin star restuarant that is not open at this time of year - every night. Note also with kids or elderly the outside Villas, Spa and Gym are all on steep hills and reliance on the buggy service is order of the day. There are signs for the ''Beach Club'' in the hotel grounds but we were dismayed to find out that this is shut and that infact there are not even any sun loungers or chairs at the beach. There is nothing. We chose the hotel for its proximity to the sea and assumed day time food, drinks would be available at the Beach Club along with seating in such a nice location. Staff tell me that there is no Beach Club for the entire summer - I see no reason why temporary seating could not be moved down there pending any developlments for a new Club allegedly coming next year. This is somewhat misleading and we would not have stayed at the hotel if we had known this. The only other option is to sit around the pool or on your room balcony. The tracks down to the beach are very steep so a buggy is best if you want to visit it for a walk or swim. As with other reviews, the hotel does not have a proper bar, its an odd set up in a room off the main lobby. This is a big mistake in the design as any other 4 or 5 star hotel has at least 1 main bar area.It has zero atmosphere so we never used it - it was also used by Conference organisers several days for Welcome Desks so that did not help add to any 'nice bar atmosphere'. Service was very patchy - we had to typically phone 3 or 4 times for a simple request eg some towels, more water for the room, a buggy to pick us up. There is no shop in the hotel for buying incidentals, sun hats etc Apparently there is one coming next year. A charge of 25 euros per day we did not agree to, for valet parking, as we thought it was excessive. So we had to self park after arrival, during the stay then get the car before our bags were loaded. Not a 5 star experience. On the positive side all of the staff were very helpful and meant well. At breakfast the food is good but not exceptional with some basics missing from the offerings but it was ample and the staff cleared the tables quickly and served quickly. The rooms were very nice, very clean. We did pay to upgrade so had a bigger room away from the pool area which worked very well for us. The SPA is very nice and the Gym. For what the hotel charges it is fair but we paid a lot for a few days and came away feeling it did not live up to expectations for the reasons stated.

We stayed a week with our Golf Group the International Seniors Amateur Golf Society. The room was v Wry food, housekeeping was on the ball but seemed to get to our room very late each day. The hotel restaurants were poor. The service was poor and the staff didn’t seemed to be well trained. Supervision was poor. Especially at the two large events our group had. I’d hate to be there when the property was full. They have a lot of work to do.
