Great location the suite was spacious great balcony, hotel food was good could always seat something at every meal time, local friendly area had the option to eat out or eat in had everything and more could not complain about 1 thing,

We stayed as a couple at Dimona Suites for four nights. The suites are actually part of the Hotel Royal Al-Andalus - you check in at the reception there, not at the reception of the suites themselves which has been closed since May this year. However, this is not advertised on their website and it means walking back up the street and up the hill to the hotel. However, that was the only problem. Everything else was excellent. Staff on reception in the hotel were polite, professional, helpful and very friendly and there were always enough of them to deal with large numbers of guests. Breakfast is served at the hotel, and the suites are connected via a corridor and terrace walk. Breakfast was varied, plentiful, and delicious - on Sunday there was even sparkling wine! The suites themselves are modern, very spacious and well-equipped with a small kitchen, crockery, cutlery, kettle, fridge, microwave, and hob. There is an ironing board, iron, clothes dryer, hairdryer and a safe. Plenty of cupboard space is provided and the bathroom is spacious, with a shower but no tub. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. There were two largish single beds, a smaller single bed, and a sofa bed too. There is a TV but we never watch TV on holiday so I can't say which channels were available. We had a furnished balcony overlooking the street, but there is an electric shutter so that any noise can be screened out at night - this also keeps the sun off the room too. The air conditioning is very efficient so its not an issue. Cleaning was regular and efficient. Location-wise, the suites are in a good position to get to the beach - only five minutes walk or so, and there is a supermarket in the same building, on the floor below the suites themselves. All things considered, I would recommend Dimona suites as very good value for money. Clean, modern, spacious, well-equipped, excellent location and very helpful and friendly staff. Thank you

“Not suitable for disabled - Mobility”

On a positive, we had a wonderful 6 day holiday. (Even though it started badly) The suites are lovely and had everything we needed. It’s easy to get to breakfast and the pool area. The studio is cleaned every other day which was a little tricky with a young one in nappies. The cleaning staff were helpful. There is a back entrance/exit from the suites which we found ourselves. It’s on the corner of a lovely supermarket (Very handy) and opposite the road leading to the beach. Beach is 5 mins and it’s a great route and vibe. Sadly there were negatives. If you are disabled (which I am with mobility) It’s NOT suitable to be honest. We arrived at 0200 as our flight was delayed. Easy Jet did not accompany the transfer. Special assistance at Malaga is non existent. On arrival at the venue, the mini bus stopped on a main road and with no English, he pointed up a hill to Hotel Royal AL- Andalus. I had read Tripadvisor which mentions this, but I was surprised what happened next. At 0200 my daughter left me and my Young Grandson with cases and went to the Hotel to gain the next route. We found ourselves outside a Swingers Club and Two drunk vomiting men in the street near us. I was horrified. My daughter returned quickly and we went to the hotel. ((Picture the scene -Me on crutches, a young boy and all the luggage.). On arrival at the hotel, it was very clear to me that the van could have easily have driven there and a roundabout outside the reception would have made it very easy. The receptionist could not speak English either, but took us ‘on a trek’ , through the hotel, up lifts, across walkways and corridors finally arriving at the suites maybe 10 mins later. There was no one to help us, and she did not help with luggage. It was a very hard situation and I Felt very cross to be in this position. After that, the holiday flowed nicely. The holiday ended by us using the side entrance by the supermarket at 0330 in the morning - Much better - If only we had known

the location is good, there’s a bus stop right outside to take you further into malaga where you can see the old town, some designer shops, the port/marina, and there is also a shopping mall on the same route (110). food is okay, nothing to rave about, very samey and repetitive but that’s to be expected, there is a shop right below dimona and some across the road as well, there are also a couple food shops and takeouts across the road also. if your renting a car there is a garage for petrol across the street and the hotel is situated around 10-15 minutes from the beach, and also the strip with beach clubs and day drinking places as well as places to rent sunbeds etc. the hotel itself is good, it is essentially just the room in dimona though as it’s connected to al adanlus which has the pool, restaurant, bar reception etc. we was quite disappointed to start with because when we got there at around 12;00-01:00 reception in dimona is shut and had been since april which i DO think should be disclosed as without wandering around you would have to leave dimona and go around the corner about a five minute walk uphill with suitcases to the entrance of andalus but you can also walk straight through dimona to the courtyard and keep going straight to reach the lifts in adalus which will take you up but it’s a palava that’s unnecessary especially at stupid o clock. the area is nice, if entertainment was on or streets were lively you couldn’t hear anything in the rooms so it’s nice and secluded and the apartments are self catering and very spacious. I unfortunately was bitten all over by spiders whilst i was asleep which is not the hotels fault but something to be aware of as it is a hotspot for wildlife and unfortunately I am dealing with the repercussions of mother nature. there are some lovely cafes and bars/shops a short walk away as well as public parking down the street. dimona also has parking and a little yard with sunbeds and parasols and chairs to sit and chill in. it was a lovely holiday and we had a good time but unfortunately i don’t think it’s worth the small fortune that we paid. we would come again, but maybe to a different part of malaga/different hotel, who knows. all in all, completely up to you to make your decision but there are some things to keep in mind before booking this specific holiday.
