Location is great..food is ok, had a lot worse, always plenty of choice, so unless you are mega fussy, you won’t starve, the major problems were the spainish guests, think it totally acceptable to push, in, and push in front of, of you.The atmosphere in the hotel, is a bit on edge if I am being honest, I feel this hotel is mainly catering for spainish guests, all the pool games, are in spainish, I suppose at least 80% of guests are Spanish so it makes sense!! There was a nasty incident, at the pool, which left me uncomfortable, with a gang of Spanish people, trying to fight with an English family, police were called, it was so upsetting to watch, especially the young mum, getting hit by an older Spanish lady, not what u want to see on holiday!!! The rooms, we stayed on floor 1…1121, very noisy, nightclub is below, so I will say no more, room was cleaned every day, towels, sheets changed, couldn’t fault the cleaners!! The pool… what can I say, massive hotel, small pool, no space, no sunbeds, unless you get up early, and run at 9 am, to fight for a bed, I actually watched an old lady struggling trying to lift a bed down, then a Spanish woman went to help her, how nice I thought, until they got the bed out, and across the pool, and the Spanish woman took it off her… couldn’t believe my eyes, the Spanish family thought it was hilarious!!! In all my years of holidaying abroad, I have never ever thought “ it’s true, the Spanish actually do hate us”

Our holiday was enjoyable overall, but unfortunately one incident significantly spoiled our experience On the evening we arrived back at the hotel after watching England play Norway, we were in high spirits, even walking back with Norwegian fans who were staying in the hotel. The night receptionist, Juan Carlos, shouted aggressively at us from behind the reception desk because my son had removed his top,It was an extremely hot evening, and I was even using a fan myself. My son immediately put his top back on when asked, but the way Juan Carlos spoke to us was completely unacceptable,He shouted at us aggressively, causing an unnecessary and very heated scene We were so shocked by what had happened that we later went back to speak to him about his behaviour, as we felt it was unprofessional,Rather than trying to resolve the situation, he became verbally abusive towards us. In fairness, my son did lose his temper and shouted back, which he shouldn’t have done, but by that point the situation had already been escalated by the receptionist’s aggressive attitude.Juan Carlos stated that the CCTV cameras were recording the incident, which I was pleased to hear as they should show exactly what happened It made me feel quite anxious in the evening as we would walk past reception and see him point and obviously remark at us to the security guy making it feel an incredibly awkward Situation Since returning home, I have looked through other reviews and was disappointed to find similar comments about this member of staff’s behaviour, suggesting this may not have been an isolated incident It is such a shame because this one experience overshadowed what was otherwise a lovely holiday, The rest of the staff worked incredibly hard and did everything they could to make guests feel welcome and enjoy their stay A special mention must go to the restaurant staff, who were absolutely fantastic throughout our holiday. They were friendly, attentive, hardworking, and a real credit to the hotel

Pros- - Good adult evening entertainment - Food and drink available nearly all day until midnight - Alcohol is not watered down and drinks are genuine brands - Rooms are clean and modern and maid service is good - Good value/ pricing Cons- - Lots of Spanish people staying who don’t like English, which I understand to a certain extent due to anti tourism etc but when I’ve paid to be here with my family it seems unfair to be treated like a 2nd rate citizen to people I’ve never met. This is especially evident at meal time. - Some bar staff also clearly don’t like English, Spanish get one treatment and English just get ignored/ don’t even say Ola/ Gracias, just straight rude. - The hotel could, but refuses to staff the pool bar adequately, you always have to queue for drinks from the 1 bartender. 1 more bartender would elevate this issue. - No/ not good kids entertainment. Not really a family hotel. Wouldn’t stay again due to cons unfortunately.
