“Excellent place to stay”

We stayed in the Siesta 1 Apartments from 15th July to 23rd July in Room 422 and I can’t recommend this hotel enough. The minute we arrived you could smell the cleanliness in the Reception. We stayed in the Siesta 1 Apartments from 15th July to 23rd July in Room 422 and I can’t recommend this hotel enough. The minute we arrived you could smell the cleanliness in the Reception. The Reception staff were extremely friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We upgraded to a pool view studio room, unfortunately the air con wasn’t great in the room so we asked for a fan which literally arrived within minutes. Our room was cleaned every Monday, Wednesday and Friday with fresh bedding and clean towels. The pool was clean and there was more than enough beds so no need for any “sunbed wars”. The atmosphere was very chilled with entertainment on daily. The Red Lion pub is the place for your bar snacks and drinks throughout the day. It is a nice pub but a little pricey on drinks. The apartments are situated right at the end of the strip, close to the beach, about a 15 minute walk, with lots of bars, restaurants and boutiques along the way. Alcudia itself is quite bad for mosquitos so make sure you are fully armed with spray. Definitely a 5 star experience here and should be rated more than a 3 star. Would happily recommend and definitely go back.

We stayed at Siesta Apartments as a family of four and came away really impressed overall. Our apartment had a double bed, a pull-out single and a sofa bed (which is literally the sofa rather than a separate fold-out bed). It wasn't luxurious, but it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The apartment was spotless when we arrived and housekeeping came three times a week, maintaining a very high standard throughout our stay. We had a pool-view balcony, which was a lovely place to sit in the evenings, and the air conditioning deserves a special mention,it was worth its weight in gold in the Mallorcan heat. Having a fridge with a freezer compartment was also really useful. The hotel itself is very well looked after. Everywhere was clean, the reception staff were genuinely friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. The pool was excellent, and the 9am-9pm opening hours meant there wasn't the usual ridiculous 6am towel Olympics, which made for a much more relaxed holiday. We also liked that there was a good mix of nationalities staying there, so it didn't feel like you were on an extension of the UK. There were a couple of negatives. In the evenings the corridors could get noisy, although that's more down to inconsiderate guests than the hotel itself. Listening to parents loudly shouting at their children at 1am wasn't quite the Mediterranean soundtrack we'd hoped for! The other surprise was that dogs are allowed. Unfortunately, one seemed to object whenever their owners returned in the evening, leading to regular barking that echoed through the corridors. The biggest disappointment was the Red Lion pub/restaurant attached to the hotel. The food selection was perfectly adequate, nothing spectacular, but ideal for keeping the kids happy at breakfast and lunch. The staff were pleasant, but service was painfully slow. We often spent longer waiting for plates to be cleared or for the bill than we did eating. It also lacked any real atmosphere, which is a shame because it's the only place to sit with a drink while watching the hotel's evening entertainment. Overall, we'd happily stay at Siesta Apartments again. The apartments are clean, comfortable and well maintained, the facilities are excellent, and the staff are a real credit to the hotel. A few noisy guests, barking dogs and a disappointing pub weren't enough to spoil what was a genuinely enjoyable family holiday.
