It's not very often I feel moved to write a review, but feel I have to when our first visit to Viva Eden Lago was so good, we re-booked to go again less than 4 weeks later! Our first visit was in early May and unfortunately, the weather was terrible. However, our little boy was never short of entertainment with the amazing kids club and we were just made to feel so welcome by all the staff we encountered, who genuinely could not do enough for us. Our second visit was in early June and after booking with Jet2, we upgraded directly with the hotel to a Selection Club Royal Terrace suite, and received a significant discount on this as returning guests. It was worth every penny. We had a one bedroom apartment with a massive terrace overlooking the lake and mountains, with stunning sunset views. The terrace had a Balinese bed, two sun loungers, a bistro set, outdoor sofa and chairs with a coffee table and 2m x 2m hot tub / whirlpool. The way these rooms are constructed means your terrace is totally private and you're not overlooked at all when using the hot tub. The hotel is super clean and tidy, perfect for families with small children. We used the all-inclusive option on both trips which was great value for money. Some may find the dining options limited (there is only one a la carte option, for example) and the hotel itself fairly small. But for our family unit, travelling with a neurodiverse 4 year old, these things actually made it perfect - compact grounds with good security (pool / kids area is gated and mag-locked, needs a wristband to open) were much appreciated. We loved the hotel and all its facilities (most of which are new and upgraded for the 2026 season) but what made our visit and prompted the return, was the hotel staff. Every single employee was just fantastic and it was lovely that we were remembered and welcomed back so warmly from our first trip. Special mentions go to: Daniel, our Selection Club concierge. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he handled every request efficiently, and was always happy to hunt you down in the hotel to speak with you in person! Mia and Afra on reception - so friendly and helpful, no matter what time of day or night it was. Raquel in housekeeping - definitely went over and above to keep our room clean and tidy after a 4 year old had done his worst. Cece, Esteve, Tomek, and Monika on food/beverage services. Friendly, efficient, helpful, and endlessly patient with my terrible attempts at Spanish. The entire animacion team deserves a mention because they worked tirelessly everyday to keep everyone entertained (with no pressure at all to get involved) - Dawid, Emilie, and Toni were all great. Extra special thanks to Andrea, Sofia, and Rosa for taking my little boy under their wings and giving him two amazing weeks of fun (especially Andrea, who was his favourite!) and to Aljaz, the Pirate disco host with the most.
