We stayed at Viva Sunrise for two weeks in July 2026. The first week was without meals included, while the second week was on an all-inclusive basis. We had booked a two-bedroom apartment facing the surroundings and had requested evening sun in advance. When we arrived to check in, several other families arrived at the same time, which naturally created a queue. However, it seemed to stress the receptionist somewhat. Before she had finished giving us information about our room and stay, she had already started assisting another family with their passports and booking details. I asked about the all-inclusive option, including the cost and what it included, but because of the busy situation and the fact that she was helping another family simultaneously, I felt that I did not receive all the information I was looking for. We arrived after 3:00 PM, but our room was not yet ready. I also asked about the stroller we had ordered, and the receptionist told me that we could sort that out later. We accepted this and stored our luggage in the waiting room until the apartment was ready. At that point, who I assume was the reception manager approached us. He mentioned that he had overheard my questions regarding the all-inclusive package and assured me that we could discuss it with reception later and that they would help us arrange it. He also made sure we received the stroller. This greatly improved our first impression of the hotel. While waiting for our room, we had a late meal in the sports bar. After a long journey with two young children who were tired from traveling, this was appreciated. Fortunately, it did not take long before our room was ready. The apartment was spacious, modern, and very nice, and our request for evening sun had been fulfilled. Housekeeping is provided five days a week. While the room was swept and the beds were made, the cleaning could be improved, as the bed linen was not changed during our stay. The pool area is excellent for both younger and older children. Our two children, aged 2 and 7, absolutely loved it. There were plenty of sun loungers available, and special credit goes to the lifeguard, who removes towels after 30 minutes if guests are only reserving sunbeds without using them. The evening entertainment was excellent, and there were many activities available for children throughout the day. All staff members were very friendly and welcoming. If you are planning to stay here, I would definitely recommend upgrading to all inclusive. Guests on the all-inclusive package have access to slush machines and refrigerated stations stocked with fruit and ice cream throughout the day, which was a great benefit for families. One small downside was the toast snacks available as part of the all-inclusive offering. They consisted of dry bread with toppings but no butter, making them rather uninspiring. The buffet restaurant, however, was fantastic. The food was varied, fresh, and of very good quality. In contrast, the food served in the sports bar was disappointing. We tried the salad, pizza, and hamburger, but none of these meals left us wanting to order them again. Guests receive wristbands that also function as room keys, which is very practical. The hotel is also conveniently located within walking distance of both the beach and shopping areas. This was our fifth trip to Alcúdia, but our first stay at Viva Sunrise. Based on our experience, we would definitely consider staying at Viva Sunrise again on a future holiday. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay, particularly because of the excellent pool area, friendly staff, family-friendly atmosphere, and the all-inclusive experience.

We went to this hotel as a family of 5. We had 1 2 bedroom apartment and 1 studio both in the select club. Our welcome at the hotel was great, I think it was Vanesa in the select club check in. We also spoke to her on several occasions and she remembered our room numbers and was very friendly. We were so pleased with our room , 157. I’m not sure if it is the only 2 bed select room with plunge pool , if it isn’t then ask for this room. The terrace was huge, we had 4 loungers, a sofa , 2 chairs and a table and also a table and chairs for eating. We visited the select pool occasionally for a swim. We found the cabana beds were in the shade during the morning so preferred to stay on our terrace. The only disappointing thing with our room was the air conditioning was poor. We did raise this and they said they would look at it. I don’t think it helped that there was a heatwave. The air conditioning in the studio was perfect. The food in the buffet was very good , we ate there for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. There was always a lot of choice. The staff in the restaurant were very polite and friendly. We ate in the Sports Bar one evening as our à la carte meal. The menu was great, however we had to wait nearly an hour for food and it wasn’t anything special. I’m not sure if this was normal or they were short staffed in the kitchen. When we did eat at the sports bar for lunch it was always quick and really good. The evening shows did look good. We didn’t really watch them properly, only when passing through. When you stay in a select room you get a free hour in the spa, which was a nice visit. It was very quiet , I’m not sure if they limit it to each room has their own hour ? I think we would struggle for sunbeds if we had to get them at the main pool as people were reserving them from about 7am. The location of the hotel is good. About a 20 min walk to the Waterpark, 40 mins walk to the old town ,10 mins walk to the beach and a couple of mins to the nearest bars/restaurants and spar.

“Really good resort”

Good structure, good food, excellent staff. We had the room with the pool, and it was amazing! Breakfast has lots of options, the lunch is more limited, but also good. Dinner is really good with some thematic nights.
