We had a really lovely holiday at Sa Mirada. Family of 6. The apartments are old but very clean and adequate for a weeks break. Beautiful views from both apartments. Reception people were lovely so to all staff in restaurant and pool cafeteria. Pool was lovely We went with half board and the food was good lots of options. Very good value for what we paid. We would stay again.

Very honest review. Negatives : Stayed here 5 year's ago and absolutely nothing has changed at all , apartments are very dated , don't expect luxury (but then not paying luxury prices ) bathroom is very small , door literally touches the sink when opening. Front door to Apartment is temperamental to say the least . Sofa very uncomfortable as sags in the middle . Balcony is small , big enough for two people to sit but anymore and it wouldn't be possible , also air con is on the wall right hand side of the balcony so can't really sit under it if tall as knock yourself out , plus very noisy if on . We had Apartment 601 right next to reception and the bus stop , this was fine as low season so quiet , in high season I'd expect it to be very noisy indeed. Some umbrellas poolside broken , don't fit into stands properly , some sunbeds rusty. Front bedroom faced the main road and bus stop so really couldn't have the windows open as absolutely no privacy, especially when a bus pulled up ! So opened the windows and just pulled the green shutters into a V shape to let some light into the room and air , this worked perfectly, but needed a light on even during the day Positives Apartment very clean on arrival, beds are comfortable, excellent quality bedding, plenty of thick good quality towels ( and large for a change goes right around you , not tiny towels ) Well stocked kitchen for SC , fridge with good size freezer compartment. Shower is a good size and excellent water pressure, plenty of hot water . Bedrooms are a good size , loo rolls, washing up liquid, tea towels provided . Good size television, in Spanish but can be changed to English on settings. Microwave, toaster , kettle , 2 hob rings and a mini oven for cooking, all very adequate for making a meal if needed . Poolside is lovely with a huge pool overlooking stunning views, bar selling all drinks , ice-cream, light meals . Staff are excellent, any issue's are sorted out very quickly, if you have an issue just report it all staff are very helpful, we needed extra loo rolls , went to reception and were given as many as needed , plus extra towels Our apartment was cleaned on the 4th day , beds changed too . No meals are served here at all , meals if all inclusive are taken at the sister hotel 5 minutes down the road , you can also use all facilities at this hotel if staying at Sa Mirada. Large choice of restaurants, cafes , bars , a few shops , beautiful beach , lovely little cove beach too , excellent area for walking over the headland to Son park , boardwalk along the beach to walk along to next complex which has more restaurants, shops . Arenal is very steep, lot's of steps , not suitable for disabled or those with walking difficulties at all . All in all we had a lovely holiday, staff excellent, absolutely stunning surroundings, bus service to other parts of the island very good and cheap , regular service even at beginning of the season , supermarkets not to expensive at all , stock everything you could need , staff are really lovely, always happy to help you with anything. We received a delicious cheese gift at reception for being return customers which was a lovely touch , good stocked library in reception of books left by other tourists. Absolutely will be returning to these apartments.

From day one of our stay we were finding little glitches with the apartment. Kettle didnt work so we got that replaced, air con not working so had an engineer come out and fix it and the sofa was broken. We weren't able to sit on it unless you wanted a bad back. From day one of our stay we were finding little glitches with the apartment. Kettle didnt work so we got that replaced, air con not working so had an engineer come out and fix it and the sofa was broken. We weren't able to sit on it unless you wanted a bad back. That was fixed two days later with a block of wood and two tie wraps. No proper cleaning service, maid comes in once a week to change towels and supply more loo roll. If you want more cleaning, either do it yourself or pay 20 euros. Biggest let down was the door to get into the apartment . Hit and miss whether it worked or not. Oh and on day one the toilet flush handle broke so that had to be fixed. Would we stay here again? Definitely not. Although the scenery and the beach is beautiful, we're going to stay in Mahon next time.

Staff are helpful and friendly. The pool bar is fine and provides drinks and snacks all day. The pool is fairly quiet most of the day and a decent place to chill with kids. Good sized pool. Lovely views from the pool, however, the glass screens with views of the bay are not maintained- they’re dirty. The rooms are a decent size and are clean. A lifeguard pops by every now and then to check on the pool. The complex is pretty run down. Banisters on stairs are rickety, communal areas of apartments are not maintained. It feels quite unloved. The play park is out of use and is rusty and partly dismantled on the ground. Pool has only 25 loungers and 12 umbrellas. Many are broken. They’re all pretty worn out. What is odd about this is the now-closed function room is stacked high with pool furniture which you don’t have access to. I can see from the older pictures on their website that the place used to be looked after better- it does not look like this now. Meals are hit and miss. The food was cold a couple of times. Choice is decent. The vegetarians in our group found enough to eat. Drinks are fairly pricey with dinner (€9+ for 3 waters). Room are not serviced. If you want a change of bedding, clean towels or a clean room you have to do this yourself or pay extra. The reception staff are helpful and will change towels etc if you pop in. Overall, we had a really nice holiday. We purposely chose a budget place for our break as it was a second holiday this summer. If you’re happy with a basic place to sleep and aren’t bothered about the maintenance issues then it’s a fine choice.
