“Great resort with good facilities”

We stayed at the Airel Chico Resort for 10 nights as a family , 2 adults and our 15year old daughter. We stayed in an 1 bed apartment that was clean spacious and comfy but basic but realistically that is all we needed. The air-conditioning in the appartment was great, it was 32 to 36 deg all the time we were there and the room was always nice and cool when we returned. Maid service every day for fresh towels and beds made. The hotel/resort is split across a road with the apartments being on the side with the main large pool and the entertainment bar/area and the other side of the road being the Hotel rooms, reception and restaurant along with the Adult only pool. Not far to walk 2 or 3 mins from one side to the other. We stayed all inclusive to keep overall cost of holiday down but did read reviews about the food and they were mostly correct. The food was very repetitive and bit odd at times. If you like Fish and Pork you would be in you element as there was about 5 different types of fish dish on each day and always Pork, Pork chops, Pork skewers, Pork stew plenty of pork. Now the food was not horrible or badly presented and we always found something to eat just repetitive, we ate out on only 3 occasions due to not really fancying that days offerings. Plenty of places nearby in Cala-Do'r to eat at so we were covered. All the resorts facilities where excellent, 4 pools in total , main large pool which we used all the time was fantastic and there was an Adults only pool and 2 smaller plunge pool type near the apartments. Bar area and entertainment was very good too. The animation team were always putting something on to do, both day and night and always came over to see if you wanted to join in, very nice and friendly atmosphere. Overall a very very enjoyable holiday and we would definitely be returning in the future.

The staff in at reception were phenomenal! Especially a lovely woman named Cris, we had a sever medical emergency during our stay and she was fast, reassuring and extremely helpful throughout and continued to check in on us through the rest of our stay. Other staff were great with their support too! Would definitely recommend an all inclusive stay, very clean and lots of options for food and entertainment throughout the days!

My mum and I had an amazing week staying at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Cala d'Or, with two beautiful beaches just a 10-minute walk away. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, offering lots of great places to eat and drink, although some were quite expensive. The hotel itself is clean, well maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere. Our apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool area was always clean and, for the most part, guests respected the rules. The only disappointment was on our last day, when a group of teenagers arrived and started drinking in the pool and throwing balls around, narrowly missing people who were trying to relax. Obviously, that's no fault of the hotel, but it did spoil the atmosphere a little and there were no staff around to sort it out. The pool is open from 10am until 6pm, which felt a little early to close, especially as it was still very hot at 6pm and it would have been nice to continue relaxing by the pool. The food and drink were plentiful, with a good variety available at every meal. The bar staff were always friendly, helpful, and worked hard throughout our stay. The only downside was the show cooking stations, where there was often a long wait, and some of the chefs came across as a little abrupt. The real highlight of our stay was the entertainment team. They worked tirelessly every day to make sure everyone was having a great time, and the programme of activities was varied, with something for all ages and interests. Every member of the team was warm and enthusiastic, but José deserves a special mention. He was incredibly engaging, friendly, and genuinely made our holiday even more enjoyable. His energy and enthusiasm really stood out and helped make our stay a memorable one. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and would happily return. The excellent location, clean facilities, friendly staff, and outstanding entertainment team made this a wonderful place to stay.
