We came for our 9 months olds first holiday, lovely welcome and quick check in, with a cold glass of fizz, which was a lovely touch. Room was ready for us. It was lovely to see the new renovations since our last visit. The room was lovely and cleaned well each day. For those who wonder, they have a great hair drier in the bathroom. Big fridge for those who want to purchase things for self catering. Balcony is large, large enough to walk the buggy up and down. Downside is pool time open, purely on like what others said with a young child you feel like you’re already half way through the day. But to be able to access a good sunbed making it easy to be in and out with a baby and easily contact the other parents from the pool had to wait around half an hour before it opened. There are some lovely spots that you can still use, I would say there a plenty of different types of sunbeds around, all just depends if you want to be behind a small wall as we did one day to avoid the queuing and it just didn’t feel the same. We were charged 15.80 for 2 ice cream cones from the snack bar which we thought was quite expensive, delicious but expensive. However the chicken burger from the snack bar gourmet section was delicious! The service was also very welcoming in here. We love how it is so close to shops and restaurants. We can’t comment on breakfast or dinner buffet at the hotel as we didn’t use this. We would return, shame there isn’t an all inclusive option as we do like to have AI especially now our little one wants to eat all our meals.

“Lovely hotel in a perfect location”

Lovely hotel in a perfect location. Room and hotel itself was really clean. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of option! Kids entertainment was great. My only feedback would be the slow service at the pool bar, it was like the staff behind the bar didn’t want to work there!

“Style Over Substance - Badly Managed”

This hotel is sadly style over substance and to me not worthy of a 4 star. For the cost of £4,000 breakfast only, it’s way overpriced. This hotel is sadly style over substance and to me not worthy of a 4 star. For the cost of £4,000 breakfast only, it’s way overpriced. The facilities are too small for the amount of people and we are staying outwith the English school holidays. Entertainment isn’t great for older kids- pipe cleaner arts/crafts & Disney bingo were options some days and didn’t appeal to my 8 & 11yr olds. Beach (cove) jam packed, tried going a few times but no space. Lifts were also out of order constantly. Breakfast - Was so stressful I only went once. Queued out the door, down the stairs and so busy inside. Husband said food was ok but my son was disappointed he had no pancakes. Housekeeping good and they work so hard keeping the rooms clean and well stocked up. Room was standard and modern but not a lot of storage in the bathroom. Air conditioning was so bad we barely slept the first night. The shower was good and powerful. The living room had sofa beds that were pulled out by housekeeping thankfully as we thought the only option was the L shaped sofa. Pool - Way too small, like someone else said it’s a soup bowl. We had problems every day getting 4 beds in the shade regardless of what time we went down. Also smelt of eggs in certain areas & not relaxing in the slightest, stressful trying to get beds. I emailed the manager to complain 4 days later & no response. I requested a call from him, no response. Only time I spoke to management was when the large structured pergola at the baby pool collapsed and someone taken to hospital. Had one mum in tears & management was so cold & demeaning that it upset me how badly it all had been handled. The structure was quickly cleaned up & basically told to shut up about it. So dangerous & lack of accountability was unbelievable! Dragoland- Booked so we were guaranteed beds but not worth €50 a day. 2 big slides for our kids (for the cost of the hotel it should be free). If you want to get a drink or food you have to walk to the other side of the hotel. Definitely won’t be back to Esmerelda Park & would advise if you want space by the pool and beds for your family this isn’t the hotel for you. Nobody really polices the pool and I’ve seen people who don’t stay here use the pool as you can walk in off the street.
