Stayed between 12th-19th July. Where do I start? Upon arriving, we were welcomed by Lucia (the one with long brown/black hair). She was very helpful in booking us into a family suite (Room 4100) to avoid us having to separate into 2 separate rooms, which really helped us given that one of the children has ADHD and Autism. The room is amazing. It was very clean and was a nice, large room with ample bathroom space. The views from that room are amazing! There is a nice large balcony offering 2 viewpoints. You are greeted by amazing views of the cove and the sea, with a great vantage point of the sunrise. The hotel location is amazing, offering great access to the cove and sea and beautiful views. Now on to the staff!! All I can say is they are amazing! Big, big shout out to Oscar, Erika and Fernando in the restaurant for being so welcoming and accommodating of my daughter's Autism, ARFID and ADHD needs. When I told Oscar about my daughter's challenges, his words stuck with me. He said "whatever we can do to make your holiday the best it can be." He then phoned Fernando to let him know that we would need assistance as he was on shift the following day. I knew instantly from that point that we were in good hands. That meant that the following day, I didn't need to explain myself, I just said that Oscar said I could have a tray and Fernando knew instantly how to help us. Erika is also such a friendly person with a warm heart. No matter how busy they were, they carried out their duties with big smiles on their faces and by the end of our holiday, they felt like friends! Lucia got our holiday off to a great start by giving us the family suite, which made all the difference to our holiday. Eduardo (who only started working at the hotel last Wednesday) is such a friendly person. He is so confident and professional in his job, you wouldn't even know that he was new to the hotel. He always stopped to speak to our family no matter how busy he was and made sure we had everything we needed. He was always working hard with a smile on his face. The pools were lovely and refreshing. We didn't find them too cold. In fact they were a welcome relief from the heat and were nice and relaxing to be in. Just try not to get the water in your eyes! (Salt water). We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

“A wonderful stay”

Just returned (19th July '26) after a week staying at the Globales Almirante Farragut. We travelled as a group of 9 family and friends and can honestly say we had a fantastic time. The location is stunning, the cove is such a nice, safe area for swimmers of all abilities and really enhances the appeal of the hotel. The hotel itself, while looking slightly dated, we found to be spotless and modern inside. Our room was small but functional and very clean, although we were told our room wouldn't be available until 2pm after arriving at about 11:30am. That said, it wasn't really a problem and the room was ready at exactly 2pm as promised. The view from our room overlooking the cove was just stunning so was worth the wait. We found the staff to be pleasant and courteous especially Eduardo, who despite being new to the hotel himself was a delight to interact with. Also many thanks to the brilliant Oscar and his restaurant team who went above and beyond in accommodating the needs of a child with ARFID/ASD/ADHD. We genuinely appreciated his and their efforts immensely. The food was of a good standard, even if it does, as with most all-inclusive's get a little repetitive - that said no one in our group ever struggled to find plenty of good things to eat! The bars were good, the drinks on offer were more than enough for us - although the all inclusive cocktail list is a tad spartan and there is only one non-alcoholic cocktail on offer that you don't have to pay for. We'd read that the pools were cold and found that to be untrue, in fact they were very refreshing and warm enough to stay in for hours if you wish. Both pools are VERY salty as I found out immediately after jumping in, so we'd suggest goggles! The bigger pool is deep in the middle, I'm 6'2'' (188cms) and it was way over my head, but the salt water also makes you very buoyant, but care should be taken anyway. There is a lifeguard on duty though. The entertainment was, well...It was entertaining! So is worth checking out. From what we saw, the animation team are bubbly, enthusiastic and friendly and there is plenty for the little ones to do. We did note the early morning sunbed shenanigans - a phenomena common to many hotels but since we're not sunbed worshipers it made no difference to us. Overall we had a great time, although the heat and humidity did curtail our activities a bit, we would not hesitate to recommend the Globales Almirante Farragut to anyone and we will most certainly be returning ourselves.

“Nice hotel but needs improvements”

Stayed for 7 nights in July as a couple. Food: Honestly, I’ve had worse all-inclusive buffets. There was a decent amount of variety, although when I heard there were themed nights, I expected more of the buffet to match the theme. In reality, it’s usually just one small section while the rest stays much the same. After about three days it started to feel repetitive, with the usual chips, pasta, chicken, fish, vegetables and salad. One issue was that the staff couldn’t always keep up with demand. On several occasions we queued for the hot food and by the time we reached the front there were only a couple of pieces of chicken and fish left. The vegetables were kept under metal lids, which is understandable, but the lids became so hot there was nothing nearby to use to lift them as the napkins were only available at the start of the buffet. The seafood night was one of the better evenings, although there wasn’t much meat in the crab and there were no tools provided to crack the claws. Drinks: The drinks are what you’d expect from a basic all-inclusive package. Most of the better options come at an extra cost. The cocktails weren’t great and there’s only one mocktail available unless you pay extra. The choice of spirits is limited and, in my opinion, the vodka tasted a bit like hand sanitiser. Around the pool, the drinks machine makes it look like full-fat Pepsi is available, but when you order Pepsi and Pepsi Max you receive two Pepsi Max without being told. It would be better if they either stocked both or removed the option altogether. The reusable cup/token system wasn’t a major issue, but if you forgot your cup in your room and went to the snack bar in the evening, they wouldn’t serve you unless you had it. You have to go to the main bar for a glass instead, and paper cups are only available for water. There seem to be lots of rules around the reusable cups, yet there doesn’t seem to be any system at all to stop people reserving sunbeds for hours. That felt like the wrong priority. Toilets: The toilets were kept clean, but the cleaners locked them while cleaning without checking whether anyone was inside. The cubicles were also incredibly small. There was barely enough room to close the door without standing over the toilet, so I ended up using the accessible toilet instead. Rooms: The rooms were fairly average. The main issue was the desk being positioned right next to the balcony door, making it awkward to get in and out. The beds were comfortable enough, although the air conditioning could have been colder and the fan wasn’t powerful enough to move the air around the room properly. Pool: The saltwater pool wasn’t for me. The temperature was nice and it never felt overcrowded, but I didn’t enjoy constantly getting splashed with salty water. The no-diving rule also wasn’t really enforced, despite there being a lifeguard on duty. Sunbeds: This has put us off ever returning to this hotel. The biggest issue is that there doesn’t seem to be any policy at all on reserving sunbeds, which leads to people claiming beds first thing in the morning and leaving them empty for hours. If you’re not going to be at your sunbed all day, other than for food or a quick swim, please don’t reserve one. We only used a sunbed when we were actually by the pool and always moved our belongings once we were finished, sometimes as early as lunchtime. I have already spoken to management, but I’m reiterating that the hotel really needs to introduce a solution. Whether that’s removing towels from unused beds after a certain amount of time, allocating beds, or another system, plenty of other hotels manage this successfully. Our own experience summed up the problem. We found some stacked spare sunbeds and sat under an unused umbrella for about an hour before a member of staff told us we couldn’t stay there because it was part of the bar area. We completely understood and moved, but when we asked the lifeguard if there was anywhere shaded we could sit, he wasn’t very helpful. He pointed towards several areas that were in full sun. When we asked if we could move a couple of unused sunbeds under a free umbrella, he refused because he said people were using them, even though nobody had been there for well over an hour. At that point we decided to leave the pool area altogether. It was frustrating seeing unused reserved beds effectively being protected while guests who actually wanted to use them couldn’t. I also don’t think repeat guests should receive noticeably different treatment. It’s nice to reward loyal customers, but it shouldn’t make first-time guests feel like second-class visitors. If return guests receive welcome gifts such as a bottle of bubbly, it would be a lovely gesture if something similar was offered to everyone. Staff: Overall, most of the staff were friendly. Reception were particularly helpful, the cleaners were pleasant and some of the bar staff were great. Unfortunately, the experience with one of the male bar staff and the lifeguard left a negative impression. During the sunbed situation, the communication felt abrupt and dismissive, and we didn’t feel our concerns were taken seriously. I also noticed the lifeguard often chatting away from the pool rather than actively watching it, while people continued diving despite the rules. Overall: Personally, I wouldn’t return, but I also wouldn’t tell people not to book this hotel. If you’re considering it, just go with realistic expectations. I didn’t appreciate the way we were spoken to by certain members of staff, but I do appreciate that management tried to resolve our concerns at the time. My biggest recommendation to the hotel would be to introduce a fair system for sunbeds. Whether that’s removing towels from unused beds after a certain amount of time, allocating beds, or another solution, the current situation causes unnecessary frustration for guests who actually want to use the pool. I also think staff should be encouraged to treat all guests consistently and respectfully, whether it’s their first visit or their tenth. With a few changes, particularly around the sunbeds and customer service, this hotel could offer a much better experience.
