Just back from a wonderful stay at the Villas Galdana Palms, This was our first villa experience having previously stayed in hotels. We travelled as a family of 5 with an 18 19 and 16 year old. The place literally felt like a home from home, we were in Villa 9 and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, very clean on arrival, towels and lounger towels provided a kitchen with everything you need if you were to eat in although we ate out every night except for breakfast. Washing machine in the kitchen and dishwasher was great but do bring some detergent pods as they are not provided although there was about 5 dishwasher tabs in ours but these may have been left by the previous guest. I found the beds and pillows comfortable as did everyone else in our party. We were there for 4 night sso didnt have a clean during our stay but I wouldnt have found that necessary anyway. The pictures on the websites dont do it just our garden and pool are were clean and tidy with plenty of space to lounge, the pool is a good size and was bigger than i thought although really cold it is deep aswell so no shallow end for children, my only criticism was that there was only 4 loungers for a villa that slept 6 although it think that maybe to avoid crowding the garden area, this wasnt an issue as i was happy putting my towel down on the grass anyway Cala Galdana itself is really pretty, the beach is a horseshoe cove with lovely sandy beach and turquoise water and the resort although really small and low key had enought restaurants for what we needed,a couple of mini markets and souvenir shops, there wasnt really any bars other than one sports bar just 5 minutes down the road from the villa and one futher into the resort again a small sports bar but both were enough for what we needed, i think a lot of the entertainment is centred around the bars within the hotels we popped into the Hotel Minura for a drink and watched a michael jackson tribute Act one evening and hired Kayaks one afternoon from the Atreim Audax hotel which was great fun and very reasonable. But all in all the villa exceeded our expectations and I would definitly stay there again

“Amazing!”

These villas are situated in the most beautiful, quiet area but not too far from the town. Would go back tomorrow if I could. There is a dishwasher and washing machine so take tablets with you to save money. The only negative thing I have to say is that we didn't have a cleaner for the whole 2 week… more

There is a dishwasher and washing machine so take tablets with you to save money. The only negative thing I have to say is that we didn't have a cleaner for the whole 2 weeks, which is badly needed, with a family of five. Or at least provide a broom so we can sweep up. There was a dustpan but no brush!Also take fly spray and ant powder as they are a real pest. Otherwise Ive had the best 2 week's holiday and can't wait to go back.

“Amazing”

We stayed here as a family of 5, the villa was all we wanted and more! We had read some negative reviews prior to our stay but we could honestly not find fault. We stayed here as a family of 5, the villa was all we wanted and more! We had read some negative reviews prior to our stay but we could honestly not find fault. We have 2 teenage children (one 15 and one 19) and they absolutely loved every minute. The villa was clean, the pool was also very clean and well maintained. The villa had everything we needed although we did take some of our own BBQ tongs! They did have some there. The only thing we found was that we could have done with a broom to sweep as this was not provided. Also something to clean the BBQ would have helped as this is something we used daily. The cleaner came in after one week during our 2 week stay although only changed bedding. The towels were changed Wednesday and Saturday. There were pool towels also provided. The local resort is a 10 minute walk away and had everything that we needed. We also used MSH menorca (found on Facebook) for our food delivery and this was delivered on the specified day and they have amazing communication, the food delivered was also very good quality. All in all we will most definitely book again! We stayed in villa 5 with amazing views of the beautiful greenery. Plus we had daily visits from the geese.

We stayed in mid-September when we thought that the tourist season would be winding down but the resort of Cala Galdana was as busy as high season. However, the villa is located at the edge of the resort and was relatively peaceful, particularly in the evening and early morning. It’s only an 8-minute walk to the centre of the resort, the beach and some of the restaurants and the walk back up to the villa is not too steep, unlike some parts of the resort. The villa itself is compact but the large outside area and pool means that it does not feel cramped and the view over to the other side of the gorge are spectacular. The facilities in the villa are adequate, particularly if you are eating out in the evening. The only down-side is that during the middle of the day (from 11 to 5) beach goers park along both sides of the road so it can be challenging to park near the villa. Added to that, the steps up to the villa from the road will make you sweat if you are carrying luggage or shopping. We would recommend a boat trip from the marina around the local beaches. The 4-hour trips are more than enough and there are quite a few boats available in the resort at reasonable prices if you are willing to share. You will need to reserve a table in most of the good restaurants, even in September, particularly if you want to eat after 7.30.
