Globales Cala bona is a lovely place to be. From the staff being so attentive and welcoming on reception. To the wonderful bar staff especially maurilio, Manolo and Larrane making the best drinks and having a good daily conversation making us feel welcomed every day. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily from the attentive cleaners. The location is perfect as lots around within walking distance for everyone. The area has plenty to do for couples and families. The value for money is great we had everything we needed here at the hotel and our fridge was restocked daily, and nothing was too much for the chiefs on the snack bar. We would definitely stay again after coming to this wonderful hotel for 3 years.

“5 star chill”

Staff were very friendly everytime , hotel was always clean and our room was spacious, comfortable and clean . Pool area again very clean and NO fighting for a sun bed . We came to relax and be looked after fully inclusive and that is exactly what we got

We have just arrived home from a fantastic 7 night stay at the Globales Cala Bona as a party of 4 adults and one child (4 years old). Here are our thoughts on this hotel: LOCATION: We decided to go for a private transfer from the airport to the hotel and it took us around an hour - would recommend this if you can. I believe the bus transfer can take up to around 2 hours (or more). A 2 minute walk will take you to the strip where there are lots of shops, restaurants and ice cream parlours which is great for at night time. 5/10 minute walks (depending which way you go) will either take you to Cala Bona harbour (which is great) or to Cala Millor (beautiful sandy beach). CLEANLINESS: This hotel is absolutely spotless - from the restaurant to the rooms, pool side to the gardens around the hotel itself, the place is pristine! So much care is taken and it is evident at every turn. CHECK-IN: Our check-in was smooth and fast. Manuel was very friendly, explained everything we would need and also recommended our party just share 1 safe rather than having to pay for 2. Any questions we had regarding excursions throughout our stay the receptionists were always able to help with detailed explanations. ROOMS: We stayed in room 105 (as 2 adults and 1 toddler) and the room is a good size. Big comfy bed in the main room, and a fold down sofa bed as the spare bed in the (sitting room). Whilst the sofa bed wasn't the comfiest, you can't really expect much more from one. At night, our room could hear the entertainment whilst it was ongoing, and was quiet when finished. The sitting room could hear the music from the main strip, but wasn't enough to keep me awake. Our room had Air Con and it was the best we've experienced - to the point of waking up in the morning chilly and having to walk outside for the warmth (that's a good thing!). POOLSIDE: The hotel has a large (2m deep) pool and a smaller baby/toddler pool (0.5m deep) which are clean and great to jump into when the heat gets too much! We were in the toddler pool a lot more and our little one loved it (saying it was his favourite part of the holiday!). There was music played at times at poolside which added nice ambience, and like mentioned in a previous review, swearing was audible and not suitable for youngsters (fine for adult only hotels). When mentioned to receptionist, they took action and the playlist was changed. SUNBEDS: Doors to the pool area don't open until 9am which causes a queue from about 8:30am (if not earlier) for those wanting specific sunbeds. Never had a problem actually getting sunbeds, but did find it strange that older clientele rushed to get beds beside the toddler pool when not having kids themselves. BAR: When we were there the only bar is situated inside the hotel, meaning when at poolside you have to walk in through the lobby (probably dripping wet just getting out the pool) to get drinks. This seems a bit silly, and could be an accident waiting to happen with wet floors. The staff on the bar (usually Manolo, Lorraine and the manager) were all very friendly and chatty. FOOD: With all inclusive we had breakfast, lunch and dinner all in the hotels main restaurant. Breakfast - is the expected AI breakfast in Spanish hotels. You can have cooked options or opt for cereals and yoghurts, whilst pastries and muffins are also an option. Lunch and Dinner - there was always an a good selection (but not too much to make the quality dwindle). Soups, meats, salads, veggie options all catered for with pudding options being the best presented and selection I have seen at a hotel. Plates always cleared very quickly by waitresses sticking with the cleanliness theme. The drinks within the restaurant are at machines where you help yourself, meaning no waiting around for drinks to come out. SNACK BAR: The snack bar is situated outside close to the pool area (joined on to the restaurant). It offers cooked food throughout the day for all hotel guests, which is handy if you aren't feeling like a full lunch one day (or a later bite to eat). I would suggest one thing for this snack bar - for it to be manned constantly and to offer drinks (eliminating the need for customers having to trail into the hotel). ENTERTAINMENT: This appears to be on every 2/3 days however we chose not to stay for it, opting to go for a stroll around Cala Bona strip itself. STAFF: From checking in to the ladies who clean the room and the bar staff they are fantastic. OVERALL: We loved our stay at this hotel and we are already wanting to get booked up again for next year.

Lovely hotel in a good location, close to the sea and local restaurants. The rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Good range of breakfast options which were nicely presented, and the restaurant area is very pleasant. The pool area is clean and very chilled with no over-the-top rules and restrictions. There was never a problem getting a sunbed. I would, however, recommend not wearing light coloured swimwear as some of ours turned a bit green due to something in the pool. I would definitely recommend the hotel and we intend to return as we really enjoyed Cala Bona.
