Great family holiday-would definitely recommend it. Spacious, comfortable, well equipped rooms but the furniture is a bit tired-cleaning staff were fabulous and so friendly. In the dining hall the staff at the beginning of the week weren’t as friendly as those from Wednesday onwards unfortunately. Really good value for money and worth going all inclusive. The entertainment and amenities were great for the little ones and us adults also enjoyed the evening events. My only real problem was the lack of help in getting to our rooms upon arrival after a long transfer and flight delays ( a distance from reception) at 2am with 2 small children and lots of luggage.

Positives: Food was really nice and good variation over our 11 night stay. We went early to avoid the crowds as we felt there were more guests in the hotel than the hotel really has the infrastructure for- it was really bad at times and made evening meals/ lunches stressful. Hotel was really clean in our view. This is a non negotiable where ever we stay and this hotel was excellent for this. They should have more hand sanitizing stations around as there is literally only one bottle as you enter the restaurant that is not really used by guests. There were often lots of sun beds available and good space to find. We went near the sea as the main pool was just unsafe for majority of the day due to the amount of people. You did well to find 1/2 square meter of space in the pool unless you went off peak times. There were not enough pools for the amount of people at the hotel. Room was a good size for the 4 of us and again pretty clean. Aircon is average- I asked the main desk if it could be improved or if there was a fan available and they said there was nothing they can do but would ask the management to get back to us. After an 11 night stay the management team never got back to us with a solution. This is poor and probably a good reflection of unhelpful hotel staff (other than the cleaning team). The kids club staff are a testament to the hotel. Our child went twice some days as he enjoyed it so much. Areas for development: For a tui blue establishment the entertainment at night time is really poor. You are also presented with the choice of either letting your child go to the mini disco and take part in the entertainment but that comes with significant heat risk. The entertainment venue is unsafe as it is so hot. There is 0 aircon in there. It is unacceptable for Tui to allow this. Every guest was talking about this as it literally is unbearable. We even opened some extra doors one evening and the manager came and shut them! I know it can get hot in Spain but there should be aircon. It meant our kids missed out on a lot of the entertainment due to the unsafe temperature. You pay a premium for tui blue entertainment and it was just not accessible due to poor hotel facilities. I can see other reviews about this and the management respond with “it gets hot in spain” but they should take better steps to ensure it is comfortable if they claim 4 stars. I hope they do not fob this review off with a similar response. I would urge people to book elsewhere for this issue, especially if you have children or want to see the evening entertainment. The entertainment staff do work very hard but we expected more from the evening entertainment. They often looked like they didn’t want to be there on the stage (some performances borderline apologetic), some unsure of the dances, and it was the same songs each time. There was a stark lack of energy and creativity, whereas we were under the impression that with it being a tui blue family hotel, there’d be top notch enthusiasm and enjoyment. We’ve seen better entertainment at holiday parks back in the UK/ standard TUI hotels. Before the mini disco, they do a little toddler segment. They’re not mic’ed up so it’s hard to hear them, again lack of enthusiasm, and they must have a cycle of 4 sessions that they repeat as we saw many of the same shows. Overall, the hotel is set in a great location with access to the sea, clean spacious rooms, plenty of sun beds, excellent food, however this is not a 4* standard with the entertainment being sub par, the hotel staff being unhelpful with requests, and the lack of air con making it a very uncomfortable experience with the lack of access to the facilities due to the sauna conditions.

We stayed at this hotel from 26th July 2026, and overall I'd describe it as an average holiday rather than a great one. The hotel itself is large, very clean, and well maintained. Our room was lovely, clean, tidy, and comfortable, and most of the staff we encountered were friendly, polite, and helpful. The swimming pools are also a real highlight and are kept to a very high standard. Unfortunately, there were several aspects of our holiday that didn't meet our expectations. Before booking, I explained to the TUI representative that we enjoy walking in the evenings, browsing shops, and taking in the scenery. Cala Bona wasn't really what I expected or what I felt it had been made out to be. Apart from restaurants and several SPAR shops, there isn't a great deal to explore, and the walk into Cala Bona soon becomes repetitive. The hotel does offer a free shuttle bus to Cala Millor during the day, which is a nice addition, but I still felt a little disappointed with the location. The food in the hotel was acceptable, but for a TUI Blue hotel I expected much more. There wasn't a huge amount of choice, and the quality didn't stand out. We stayed in a three-star hotel in Santa Ponsa last year, and the food there was noticeably better, with more variety and better quality overall. One thing I always look forward to on holiday is enjoying a nice latte, but unfortunately the coffee here was, in my opinion, one of the biggest disappointments. Every latte I tried was watery and lacked any real coffee flavour. Even adding extra milk didn't help, as the milk itself tasted watered down. I also ordered a Baileys Freddo from Thea's Coffee Shop, costing €4.50, and it wasn't what was advertised. It was served warm instead of cold, had no whipped cream, and appeared to be made with a cheaper alternative to Baileys rather than the genuine product. When I queried this, I was told it was from last year's menu, despite it still being advertised on the TUI Blue app. For families with children, I also expected more daytime entertainment. Around the main pool there didn't appear to be any organised activities for junior-aged children. Most activities and facilities were aimed at younger children around the smaller pools, while the only regular activity we saw at the main pool was the daily water aerobics. Again, this was disappointing when compared with the three-star hotel we stayed in last year, where there were organised activities every day for children of all ages. The hotel also seemed to cater largely for German guests. While I appreciate that hotels welcome visitors from many different countries, there were times when it felt more geared towards German-speaking guests. The children's entertainment was mainly conducted in German, although some parts were translated into English. Even the television also reflected this, with the instructions being displayed in German. Although the hotel advertises satellite TV, there were very few English-language channels available, mostly limited to news, cooking programmes and CBBC. Families with young children who settle down early in the evening may find the entertainment options quite limited. Finally, our departure summed up the overall experience. When we checked out, the receptionist simply completed the process without so much as asking whether we had enjoyed our stay or wishing us a safe journey home. It's only a small gesture, but good customer service is often about those little touches, and it felt like a disappointing end to our holiday. Overall, the hotel is clean, the pools are lovely, and many of the staff work hard to provide a pleasant stay. However, based on our experience, it didn't live up to what I expected from a TUI Blue hotel. I don't usually leave reviews, and I certainly don't consider myself to be a fussy traveller, but I felt it was important to share an honest and balanced account of our stay. Everyone's experience is different, but unfortunately this isn't a hotel I would choose to return to.
