Just returned yesterday after an 11 night stay, this is our second time at the hotel , 4 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 6. Went all inclusive, the price was great considering it was the start of School Summer holidays. Apartments are large , food and drinks are good for a 3 Star all inclusive. What makes the place so good is how friendly and helpful ALL the staff are. I'm a bit of a people watcher and you can see the staff are so child friendly not just when an adult are with children, staff happy to help children get their own drinks and Ice lollies.I know you should not single any one person but both my grandchildren fell in love with a lovely Life guard Julia , she even came on our last evening to spend a couple of hours with the kids.We have all said if nothing else jumps out at us when booking next year we would definitely go back here. The resort of Cala Bona is a lovely child friendly place very laid back if you want more excitement Cala Millor is only 10 minutes away.

“Do not hesitate to book!!”

We have just arrived back from a short holiday at this wonderful hotel- mum and her 2 teenage sons! I usually pour for hours over reviews and can be put off by even one negative point as I have had some bad experiences in the past. I never usually book 3 star hotels but I was drawn to this one and definitely wasn’t disappointed! In my opinion, this is worthy of 4 stars. We had a good welcome. The staff on the reception were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were taken to our room located in block H by a friendly young man who carried our case for us. The apartment was spacious and clean with one bedroom and a lounge area with very comfortable sofas/beds. Ideal for a family rather than just one room. We booked ours as a very late deal with TUI and were self catering but we were able to dine one night in the Italian buffet which a superb. No problems with getting subbed even later in the day. We tended to go for the quieter pool outside block F. The busier pools seemed to have entertainment going on during the day but my teenagers are not really into that! We also didn’t partake in the evening entertainment as we spent to evenings in the resort centre by the harbour which was less than a 10 minute walk. It’s a lovely resort with everything on your doorstep. Our highlight was hiring electric bikes and cycling to Sa Coma and back. Would definitely return here and can’t recommend it enough.

“3* great value for money”

We booked this very last minute (within 72hrs) needed somewhere in Cala Bona to be close to family & was limited as it was Aug and last minute but we we’re pleasantly surprised at value for money. There was 3 adults, 1 child & 1 baby and we paid £1k for 5 nights self catering in 1 bed apartment. I believe it’s great value for money. The apartment was much bigger than we thought, clean enough, staff were really helpful & friendly, lots to do for children! Kids club had loads of activities on and although we only watched one show we thought it was ok. We preferred to go out to harbour etc The complex is really big with blocks between A-G and the pools are dotted around them. Exactly what we wanted/needed for the short space of time we booked. Downsides to take in to consideration: - Aug, as expected, is crazy busy!! The pools aren’t that big and there’s not enough room in them for the amount of people especially in Aug! - If you’re in block G there is a small farm around the area and it does mean you will be woken up by the cockerel at 4am onwards - Although they say pools shut at 6pm they don’t really, we stayed in till 8pm most night but it does mean you will get people jumping in at 1am drunk which happened to us. They ended up being next door to us and it was there first night, gave them 30mins but they were unbelievably loud and I had a baby so had to phone reception, in all fairness they came down and moved them out of the pool and thankfully they quietened down. But unless you call reception people will be in the pool till late. We had a great 5 days, could have easily stayed longer as Cala Bona is beautiful! As is Cala Millor which is very close by. I would go self catering again as so many restaurants to choose from and I didn’t think they were to pricey! Stanley’s is great for breakfast & most of the spars you can get fresh made baguettes at lunch for €3. Not sure I’ll come again in August, June/July might be a bit quieter, it was just manic and full of families/kids, which is what to be expected I guess.

I'll start with the good : the location is great, the entertainment staff are very enthusiastic without being intrusive, the cleaners are very friendly and the aircon was thankfully excellent. The not so good : the room was very dated, it reminded me of student digs, and there was very little in the way of cookware, glassware or crockery even though we were self catering and the fridge was tiny. We discovered broken glass under the beds, and our tv wouldn't pick up any channels - they sent someone to fix it and they couldn't, but despite a follow up call to reception no one was bothered. You're not supposed to reserve loungers by the pool before 9am, but if you don't, you'll find they're all gone, so one of us had to head out at 7am every morning to try and get some. The shower was a bit hit and miss too, and wavered between hot and cool on a regular basis, and the loo seat was loose and on the brink of breaking entirely. There were spare sheets and blankets in the wardrobe but it smelled really musty, so I'm glad we brought a few blankets of our own so that those who like full aircon could enjoy that while others didn't freeze. We could hear the cockerels in the next field but not loudly enough to wake us. Luckily we met some lovely people, so we spent most of our time by the pool and eating out at the plethora of great restaurants nearby, but we won't be back to this hotel.
