“Great stay”

Very tastefully presented, the food was excellent. Not the largest variety but essentially it had everything we needed. The apartment room was very clean and tidy when we got there.My children loved the indoor pool and the hot tub and also enjoyed the kids club.Would definitely recommend!

An overall quality hotel. Good size apartments with large terraces and a nice view. A large bed with OK comfort and clean sheets. The kitchen had a small refigerator, a small cooking top and a microwave and just enough cookware to make a respectable dinner for two. The staff is friendly, alert and mostly helpful. Even though they don't always understand, they try their best. The room is kept clean, towels changed when needed. Note that no cleaning equipment for the kitchen is offered, so bring dishsoap, a brush and a dishtowel. (I hope the cutlery gets a proper cleaning after each guest.) The hotel information says it's a mostly smoke free area, however people still smoke on their room terraces, by the entrances and by the pool. This is reinforced by the staff by offering ashtrays. Not so good. Also the poolside restaurants play a little to loud music for my liking, but I guess that's each ones taste and not a huge problem. The hotel has a perfect location for us. No seaside view, but why pay extra when the beach is less than ten minutes away. The restaurants in the area offer good quality meals and service, and there is a quality food store even closer than the beach. All the facilities feel fresh, clean and up to date. For us swimmers, the indoor pool made a daily exercise routine possible. There's a hot tub/bubble bath that sometimes has hot water, a cold tub and a small sauna that is turned on in the afternoon on request. The staff could not give a good answer as to why the water was so sporadicly, not systematicly warm. Every person we talked to tried to give an answer, even though the answers didn't make sense an was quite inconsistent. We never tried the gym, but it was easy accesible and looked in shape. The greater areas are great for hiking, sun bathing, swinning and diving. The breakfast hall had a nice atmosphere and quite large outdoor area. The food was fresh and it was quite possible to eat either healthy or unhealthy, depending on ones choice. We always went for breakfast early to avoid peak, and therefore appriciated the early and wide openings hours of the buffets. This is a great value hotel with clean and up to date facilities, fresh food, great pools and a good location. I would go here again, no doubt, and with time I guess the smoking problem will be delt with to make our stay even better.

We were at the Diamant hotel with our daughter and family. We had an apartment overlooking the pool which was unexpected but very nice. Everywhere within the hotel was exceptionally clean. The apartment was fine, comfortable beds. Excellent aircon. Excellent shower. We would have liked to have had a kettle. Breakfast was included. The buffet was good and enough variety. The only thing for me that was missing was marmalade. We had daily room/maid service except for Thursday. This wasn’t very thorough. Our bed had as many creases in it as it did before the bed was made. Being English we were in the minority which wasn’t a problem. However at times there were one or two groups of older male Germans drinking in the bars and groups of young males and females dominating the pool. We felt uncomfortable and it wasn’t relaxing. My wife spoke to a lifeguard first and then to reception to mention that there was no soap in the toilets by the pool. No action was taken to resolve this. The pool by our apartment was mostly quiet. No made rush to reserve sunbeds in fact there was a lot of room for more sunbeds and parasols. The service in the bars was excellent, the young man at the bar by the apartments was delightful, couldn’t have been more attentive. It’s a short walk to the port where there are many restaurants. Beaches are nearby. Together with our grandchildren we had a lovely time swimming in the warm pool. We didn’t use the heated indoor pool which was the reason for choosing this hotel !! Overall a great stay.
