Was amazing the hostel was clean and tidy you get what you pay for good company the owners was friendly and made us feel at home amazing area would recommend beautiful views and food reasonable prices

we stayed for 3 nights before moving to the sister hostel the Boho concept. our flight was delayed and we did not arrive till 6.30am , you have to collect the keys from the Boho Hotel not the Golea it says on the sign, although they are both the same hotel, on collecting the keys Isabella saw that there was 3 of us she gave us an extra room to sleep in, wife only booked a double expecting extra bed of sofa, later that day we got our triple room , on the small side en-suit but no air con. only one plug socket, very small bathroom with good shower though. We over looked the street which for me as a light sleeper was noisy in the morning but the rest of the family ok, we bought a fan from the Chinese shop which helped but still hot. so we moved to sister hostel for last 4 nights paying extra. remember you get what you pay for and on that basis it was ok. all rooms are via stairs up to 4 floors.

This was a last minute budget break for us and, after trawling the internet for hours, I went ahead and booked without checking reviews first. If I had I probably would not have booked as the reviews are bad. However, despite the room being small, tired looking and noisy from traffic, I've stayed in worse (eg F1). The main problem was the shower/toilet which was tiny and every time we showered it flooded into the bedroom as the curtain was too short and water ran over the side lips of the tray. On the positive side, the man in reception (which is in the Golea on the plaza by the port) was lovely. He had left our key with a note for us as we arrived at 3am. He helped us with enquiries re maps, bus timetables etc and let us keep the room on our last day as our transfer wasn't until 6pm. The breakfast is taken in a cafe in the plaza, standard continental breakfast but plenty, dinner is in a restaurant there and the food was very good. The service was great and the people really friendly. If you're looking for a budget break and are not too precious about your accommodation (beds were comfy and it was cleaned every day) then the resort is worth the slight roughing it.
