Stayed at this hotel for 6 days. Wonderful hotel, good entertainment and enjoyable food. The only downside for me was it is a bit isolated, you do need a car if you want to get out and about, or taxis! Also steep steps to the lovely beach. Stayed at this hotel for 6 days. Wonderful hotel, good entertainment and enjoyable food. The only downside for me was it is a bit isolated, you do need a car if you want to get out and about, or taxis! Also steep steps to the lovely beach. The hotel presented my husband with a bottle of Prossecco and nibbles on his birthday which was a very nice touch. The staff were very friendly, especially Joseph and Noa behind the bar and a special lady, Patric, who was so friendly to everybody, if you needed anything she was always there to help. Great holiday.

I spent two nights alone at Cala Tarida Hotel, a small pause between the noise of everyday life and the quiet I’d been searching for. I wasn’t sure what I was looking for exactly, just a bit of space, maybe a little warmth, and the comfort of being somewhere new. The hotel itself had a calm feeling about it. The staff were friendly and kind in that gentle, effortless way that makes you feel seen without saying much. I chose the half-board option, which meant breakfast and dinner were included, though I liked that I could swap dinner for lunch and keep my evenings free to wander. The food was good, simple, and plentiful. Still, some things felt a little off. The token system for drinks was confusing; I paid €2 for a cup and held onto it, never fully sure if that’s how it was supposed to work. And there were flies, more than I’d expected, which made it hard to sit and relax, not the hotel fault in any way . My room was small and tidy, just enough for one person, but it felt a little lonely. There was no fridge or kettle, which might seem minor, but when you’re travelling alone, those little comforts a morning coffee in your room, a cold drink in the evening start to mean a lot. I missed them. At night, I’d walk outside, feeling the warm air and listening to the quiet hum of the island. Those were the moments that made it worthwhile simple, peaceful, and grounding. When I left, I felt grateful for the break but also a little lost. The hotel gave me what I needed in some ways, but not quite what I’d hoped for. Maybe it was just me, or maybe some places are meant to be short stops on a longer journey, small reminders that even quiet can feel a little empty sometimes.
